David Rodan's "goal"

Watched the 5th quarter last night and saw David Rodan's rushed behind. Would have been a great goal had he been going the other way. For those who didn't see it, Rodan was on the boundary about 30 metres out after a ball up, he crumbed the ball and snapped a ripping goal. Had the fist pump and all until Danyle Pearce told him that they were going the other way. Loved it how Brad Johnson went up to him after and had a laugh with him. Great stuff.

As a side note, its also good to see him playing well again this year.

Was pretty funny. Andrew Maher was saying it wouldve been one of the great goals of the year. Geez it wasnt that good!

I swear I saw Brett Ebert around that stoppage so maybe Rodan saw him to and his instinct said get the footy and 'kick the goal!'. Took me a second to think back to who had kicked the ball inside the 50 and realize he'd kicked it the wrong way. What does everyone think about having 'own goals' in AFL? Would make players stop and think about rushing behinds with their boot.

Great to see him continue his good form into season 08.

Has obviously taken his chance at Port, and made something of his career, which is admirable.

Well done to TW and the coaching staff at RFC for showing Rodan the door and getting him serious about his football
