If you have a look at his previous tweets, it supports my belief he was hacked. The poor punctuation can be put down to drunkeness, but his grammar and spelling is nowhere near as bad elsewhere previously that i've seen.

Even when i'm barely able to stand up from being so shitfaced, that never falls away to that extent.

Pissed, stoned, hacked or dickhead......will be interesting to see which one it was/is. What is scarcely believable is his atrocious spelling and grammar!

I believed it that's for sure, never looked like the sharpest tool in the shed. And bring in Rogers for Warner, i thought this before this happened anyway. I'd like to see Warner bat at 6 anyway, could be like a Gilly for us best case. Worst case he could be shit of course.

I'm in two minds on the Warner at 6 thing. From a counter-attacking point of view or chasing big runs quickly after solid foundations (unlikely) I like it.
But if we need a solid player to bat with the lower order and tail, not so much. I'd almost prefer Rogers to drop down and play a new position. I know its not his spot, but I reckon he has the experience and ability to adapt.

And in England its not as though the old ball will have stopped swinging. It just goes the other way. And is softer meaning it won't go off the bat as quickly. Or he could be in against the second new ball, in which case the protecting him from the new ball won't work anyway.

Future VC? Who knows. Ponting matured, Warne didn't, Warner hasn't yet and signs are he isn't starting to.

Imagine if Twitter war around when Warnie was in his younger days.... oooo god it would've been epic.

Is Warner the player Craddock mentioned in the article today about a young Aussie over there who is losing the plot and losing al morals, etc? Is that why he has reacted like that?

I guessed he was talking about Glenn Maxwell to be honest, I have no basis for this but he is getting paid outrageously over the odds. Though with how defensive Warner has become maybe it is him.

Fair points there, I just think Warner has serious talent and maybe he needs a change of position. But it's probably more likely he'd come out to bat at 4 for 50 than 5 for 300 like what Gilly used to. But I'd back Cowan and Rogers to bat out the first session way more than Cowan and Warner, or even Watson for that matter.

And if Warner was coming out to bat at 6 against the second new ball it probably indicates the top order have done well so I don't mind that at all.

Yeah I immediately assumed it was Maxwell but this tirade made me rethink.

Assuming he wasn't hacked, I wouldn't be surprised if Dave needs to be reminded to breath.

Like him as a cricketer and wish him success, but christ...

Warner's surely too old to be classed like that. When I think young I think players in the Maxwell, Richardson, NCN, Faulkner etc age bracket. Besides which, seems to me if it was Warner he would have talked about an aussie test player losing the plot, or potential test leader losing the plot

An incredibly stupid athlete+twitter usually ends badly, you would think these guys would have mangers who are smart enough to steer them away from things like twitter.

Twitter will end MANY a sportsmans career. Already started with RL players being first cab off the rank. Next...

Points to Conn in the exchange. Was naive to think he could go off against 2 career journos and think he could win a battle of articulation and the written word. (assuming it was him and not hacked or whoever it was) Lobbed a half volley into their territory. How the hell did he think they would respond?

Hacked or not 7 hours later and still not deleted. Must be one hell of a hangover/sleep in.

classic sledge on 7 news sydney - not verbatim but close "The tweets started at approximately 4am Indian time with a series of misspelt and incoherent messges. When Channel 7 contacted CA we were informed that Warner had not been contacted as he is still asleep"

they live in a bubble. only allowed to give them a rap and when they get criticized. they cry to mummy

talks on the field when not performing and talks on twitter when not performing. conn got him a pearler. when he tweeted. you get flogged 4-0 and you haven't scored any runs. hard to give you a rap
