i have O'Neill, Green, Delahunty and Budarick in my top 40, i didnt see the GCS V NT game yet, i liked the look of Barling, Wischnat, Breville and Murray + Gulden and Collins looks good for 2020, thats my position.
Worth watching the gc v nt game there was an NT ruck forward and midfielder (35 possessions) that were also exceptional

GCS V NT

First Half (GCS 55-11 NT)- Gold Coast are a class above NT, some performers for GCS were, Budarick, Davies and Crossley and for NT Patrick, Cooper and Jungfer have stood out as good performers for them.

Second Half (GCS 82-38 NT)- The Cummings brothers took charge of the game and pulled NT back into the contest, but GCS were too well drilled and ran out the game with an easy win, best for NT were S.Cumming, M.Cumming, Jungfer and Derkson, for GCS Budarick, Crossley, Davies, Paul-Oea and Pescud

overall the best performers imo were
1. Conor Budarick - GCS - 22 disp 1 gl, was clean and provided run and inside mid grunt
2. Alex Davies - GCS - 21 disp, has clean disposal was big in the first half where he was invlved in a lot of the good play
3. Crossley - GCS - 27 disp, clearances and did a lot of the grunt work for the runners
4. Jungfer - NT - 32 disp, wasnt the cleanest or most effective ball user, but got a heap of it, was good in patches
5. S. Cumming - NT - 22 disp 1 gl, the cumming boys gave NT competitive ruck and forw
6. M. Cumming - NT - 12 disp 1 gl, same as above
7. Paul-Oea - GCS - 15 disp 1 gl, provided a lot of run and carry for GCS, very slight build, project
8. Cooper - NT - 9 disp 1 gl, active small forw, was very sharp
9. Gore - GCS - 15 disp 3 gls, was on the end of some good play and got 3 relatively easy shots at goal

special mentions: O'Connell 19, Joyce 18, Deslandes 16, Fyfe 17

yea i know the Cumming's brothers, the 2 tall red head ruck+forw, they both played for Dandenong last year in the premiership team, they are good, but i see them more as state league players moreso than AFL types.

Can both Ruck and play other position , backup Ruck going to play state league anyway .

they are twins so they both ruck and play forw, they are very big boys and are pretty decent for their size, they were good for Dandenong, but always behind Bailey Williams, Riley Bowman and Schmidt as talls, i believe 1 played full back and the other was a back up ruck/forw for Dandenong, they had more dominant roles for NT because they didnt have 4 others talls to compete with.

as for the Northern Academies + Tassie and NT, the players that stood out to me were:

Top 40
O'Neill (TAS)
Green (GWS A)
Delahunty (GWS A)
Budarick (GCS)

others
Barling (Syd A)
Wischnat (Bris A)
Reville (Bris A)
Murray (GWS A)

2020
Gulden (Syd A)
Collins (TAS)
Davies (GCS)

im not sure on their draft ages, but i think i got it right? they were the players that looked good for me, Rayner for Syd A didnt look good, he was the only surprise. Crossley was ok, he might be an option too?

Thanks , regarding Crossley I need to see him play against better opposition eg sand dragon .

mahony being so high in your ranking concerns me of the draft class..sturgrass to me has more scope.
What makes you say that? I've seen him a few times and he looks very good.
His game vs SA last year was really impressive.

My View on the best teams in the NAB League.

Sandringham Dragons and Bendigo Pioneers are my 2 favourite teams to watch, Sandy remind me a bit of Dandenong last year with so much depth its crazy, Bendigo seem really strong, their midfield and defence is very strong and they had a forward step up for them on the weekend so they are looking really good and balanced, early call but i wouldnt be surprised to see them both play off in the GF, Oakleigh is the only other challenger only because of Anderson, Rowell and Williams and how strong those individuals are, but Oakleigh seem to lack the depth needed for a premiership push so far, although a couple of underagers have stepped up and if a few more do they could challenge, another team i liked were Dandenong, they have a tough style of footy i like and they have better performers than some thought.

from my POV so far this season, they are all undefeated as well
1. Sandringham
2. Bendigo
------------------
3. Oakleigh
4. Dandenong

before the season started i did not expect those teams to be at the top, i thought Oakleigh, Sandy, Gipps and Eastern would be top 4, i never thought Bendigo would be so high and end up being my favourite team to watch, thats a huge surprise, but a good surprise.

A kid under 180cm who only plays inside mid with a small kick. Reminds me of Moore at the hawks just to small..

He doesn’t only play inside mid, goes forward and can hit the scoreboard.

Cody Hirst very unlucky

thats true but i didnt feel Eastern deserved more than 2 and i felt Stapleton was huge for them in the mid and Mellis had such a great game as a small forw/mid, Hirst just missed out.
For that wing position I don’t think anyone played it better than Hirst this week, Stapleton you just know what your going to get on the inside but considering the conditions I thought Hirst played beyond expectations. Still looks about 12 despite being a 19 year old :p

you're making me second guess now, if i had to change it i might put Hirst in for Ayton-Delaney, because Hirst did have a great game.

No northern academy players in the team?

they're not really in the nab league, but i had 4 players with special mentions that wouldve either made the team or got close to making the team, for example i think Green, Gulden wouldve made it in the starting 18 and Budarick and Delahunty wouldve been on the bench if they were part of the nab league officially, but they only play 5 games i think, like a mini carnival partially involving the nab league.

I thought about that for a minute, but until our teams play one the old TAC cup teams, I wouldn't be putting them in either. Really would like to see our academy teams play some of the Vic teams, just to get a gage on the difference in talent. I would expect most of the TAC cup teams would have stronger top end talent and better depth throughout.
