Scandal Dayne Beams acting entitled?

Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story
Yeah exactly, just because he's a piece of sh*t doesn't mean his mental health issues aren't real. I've no doubt they are massive factor for him and he genuinely suffers from mental illness. I think sometimes the perception is that it's extra disappointing when someone who suffers from mental illness does not appear to be empathetic to others and treats them poorly; ie "you know how it feels and would hope others show understanding and don't treat you so harshly so how can you be such a piece of sh*t to someone else". It almost appears twice as awful as some who's just being a piece of sh*t.

Point being, you can clearly still suffer from mental health challenges and be an ignorant piece of sh*t.
Almost screwed over the Lions too if not for some crafty trading prior to the Lions/Pies trade
What a knob head.
Who buys his sh*t resin platter boards and coffee tables with a magpie on them?

The bloke is an absolute tool, but surely the idiots supporting him buying that poxy sh*t are bigger tools?
Glad to see somebody stood up to him and called him out.
The number of mental health claims by someone busted being a campaigner are starting to mess with my mental health.
What a germ of a person.
Beams will go down as one of the most disliked figures to ever walk through Collingwood’s doors.

The fact that we were stupid enough to bring him back after his antics in 2014 when he departed the club the first time was a serious misjudgment by McGuire and Co.
Glad to see somebody stood up to him and called him out.
He'll end up in the clink one day.
How’s this w***er 5 minutes after Nathan does a sacked press conference Dayne call’s sen for an interview using Nathan Buckleys sacking as an opportunity to make him self look good mentioning his business and his WAGE BEING OUTSIDE THE CAP AS IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM. How low (dumb) can you get trying to make part of the day about himself instead of leaving it alone when you were part of the problem (money cap) at Collingwood then denying it and especially after abusing a woman a few weeks ago over a party venue is ridiculously strange https://player.whooshkaa.com/shows/sen-afternoons

He mentioned Stevo and treloar but I hear he trolled them on insta comments during the awful offseason? He also said his WAGE WAS OUTSIDE THE CAP AS THE CAP PROBLEMS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM AND THE ONLY THING THE CLUB LOST FROM HIM WAS ONLY A COUPLE OF DRAFT PICKS LIKE IT’S NO BIG DEAL.

If his wage is treated outside the cap this is a much bigger story. Are the AFL ticking off on a salary cap breach?

From what we hear he is a compulsive liar who manipulates situations (Nathan’s sacking) to try look good to feel better about himself. He wouldn’t have a clue what Collingwoods cap actually is as he wouldn’t be privileged to know those finer private details that only the afl and Collingwood would know.

It's $13.1m.

When Tom Boyd retired, he walked away from his contract.

Beams who retired for similar reasons had to receive a settlement. I imagine he did not retire but pushed for a payment to retire. Or he would not.

This payment is in our cap this year in full aswell as a lot of Treloars 1.5 as far as Im aware.

Any chance that his assertions of being paid outside the salary cap gets investigated, or anything more than a passing mention from the Vic centric media?

Adelaide would (and have) been investigated, dragged through the ringer and threatened with draft sanctions from the league’s official website for less than this.

Because it’s a “big four” club there’s nothing to see here? These are the double standards that have non-Victorian fans so fed up with this sham league and compliant media.

Collinwood specifically went to the AFL and asked about the payments being outside the cap and were told no. Do you really think they would then submit their salary cap documentation without Beams' money included? If the payment was outside the cap why did they lose three players at the end of last year?

I have no idea what happened, but the player in question has stated he was paid outside of the salary cap. Surely that deserves a look.

I’ll say it again, Adelaide would be and have been investigated for less, and threatened with draft sanctions on the league’s official website for less. Should the same rigour be applied here, even in the absolute bush league that is the AFL?

All parties are now refusing to comment, which you must say doesn’t bode well.

Yes clearly #VICBIAS! Adelaide would be investigated because they have actually done this and confessed.

Happens at most clubs mate. The Business networks/ coteries can do all sorts of things. There is plenty of "payment" outside of the cap.

Trouble is it appears that some get penalised for that but others don’t.
