Over the weekend and we put the press release out on Friday?I just read the article. Crisp has visited the Westpac centre over the weekend and a deal is imminent.
It looks like 5, 25, and Crisp is going to happen.
The rebuild has officially commenced.
freeman is faster and marshwhat have you got against white guys?

Danger!......Surely we'd give Beams' old jumper to the ready made player that is replacing him as a sign of respect...

From AFL.com.auOK, make of this what you will... on Google news I saw the following headline on AFl.com.au from 48 minutes ago:
"THE PATH has been cleared for Dayne Beams to join the Brisbane Lions after young midfielder Jack Crisp was included in a package that Collingwood appears close to accepting. Crisp, who was keen to return to Victoria after three seasons with the Lions, "
BUT when you click the link it is dead, like it's been removed. Not sure what it means....deal's off maybe?
THE PATH has been cleared for Dayne Beams to join the Brisbane Lions after young midfielder Jack Crisp was included in a package that Collingwood appears close to accepting.
Crisp, who was keen to return to Victoria after three seasons with the Lions, has been packaged in the offer with selections No.5 and No.25 in the upcoming NAB AFL Draft.
AFL.com.au understands Crisp has visited the Westpac Centre and a deal is imminent three days after the Magpies' deadline for negotiations passed.
Collingwood took a hard stance on the Lions' push to land Beams, who has one year to serve on his contract, declaring negotiations had ceased at 5pm last Friday.
The inclusion of Crisp, however, who played the final six games of the season and showed encouraging signs, appears to have forced a rethink from the Magpies.
Although relatively unknown, the 190cm Victorian has good endurance and arguably provides another element to the Magpies' midfield mix.
Collingwood has been keen from the outset to find a ready-made player as part of the trade to replace Beams, and they are expected to use pick No.25 to secure midfielder Levi Greenwood from North Melbourne.

Varcoe is faster, a more elite kick, has more talent and flair, and provides our team something we seriously are lacking. We have replacements for Beams, and honestly when Freeman and Broomhead get going we will barely remember Beams and his blind hack kicks out of stoppages.
Beams is a Brisbane Bears spud now, it's finished for him.
Danger!......
yeh easyThan Varcoe?
Living on the edge?Looks like few scooners of dry will be getting sent down the throat at 2pm

Hopefully I forget trade week and who beams isLiving on the edge?![]()
yeh easy
Revenge is a dish best served cold...
What goes around, comes around...
An eye for an eye...
*sigh*
Oh well, if the rumours are true, I hope Crisp tears it up.
Yes, I wanted Greenwood so I'm happy he's coming. But I'm not interested in Varcoe and we already have a tall midfielder/flanker project in Karnezis. Honestly, it's hard to see this as anything but a loss.
Beams for 5, Greenwood and Crisp?
I'm sure Brisbane would love it if we sent 5, J. Thomas (IMO, equally talented but JT lacks consistency) and Dwyer for Rockliff.
I'll be saying Booooo-eams.So Round 1 next year are we going to Boo Beams or not ???
Ecstatically and with vigour. So Round 1 next year are we going to Boo Beams or not ???
