There is no way that Dawes will be de-listed. He may be offered in a trade, although I doubt it, but he will not be de-listed. Why would the club de-list a developing KPP after only 2-3 years? Doesn't make any sense.

Strange article on the website about Marty Clarke and the chance he may not be delisted.

Either Collingwood has had contact with Marty since, and Marty has indicated he may return, or something strange is happening here.

I thought it would have been pretty straight forward, Marty doesn't want to be in Australia, let alone commit to Collingwood, so delist him.:confused:

I think he means in the future, like a couple of years down the track they might be able to coax him back here.
I wouldn't read read into it too much.

I'd like to see Stanley kept.

Only if Mick is willing to give him a go. If not, let him get an opportunity elsewhere.

Why did you not see the game against Not Ballarat he was beaten convincingly by a semi professional dude from ballarat (Feery 15). So what i am saying is that if Danny Stanley can get beaten convincingly by a bloke that is not even on an AFL list then is there any hope for him. Then if you boys think there is a chance for Stanley to achieve consistant AFL footy then we need to consider someone like pinwell from port melbourne. He runs hard is a bit stupid in the way he puts his body into a contest, has a big body and from all accounts works very hard on the track.

Strange indeed Matty. Maybe CFC figures the harsh financial realities of life outside football may settle his decision to return. I missed seeing him play at his best in 2009.

Hopefully the best outcome for Marty and CFC ends with him happy and focused on making a life in Oz in the short term, playing footy, playing house with his girl and does what ever he needs to do to set up the life he really wants after football.

I hope Stanley get's another gig. His second final against Casey was outstanding, capped of with an excellent goal from the boundry, and he now has the body of a man to cope with the stresses of AFL footy.

While we gave nothing away for Corrie we also got nothing in return. I doubt he has the desire to make it in the big league.

Chris Bryan is finnished at Collingwood, and will chase a gig in the NFL next year. Besides Keefe was better in the ruck and is still developing his game after giving up soccer.

Not sure about Dawes. I doubt he will be de-listed but wouldn't be surprized if he was part of a trade.

Toby Thoolen will be cut (again) i would expect.

Shaun Rusling May also get the chop.

dawes definitely won't be delisted... maybe traded if we get fev
rusling signed another 2 year contract

we know that rocca has retired and dyas has gone home. I think the pies might keep clarke on the list for another year.

But:
bryan
cook
corrie
thoolen
will all be delisted

stanley
johnson
possibly delisted

i wonder if brad scott would look at stanley and cook over at north? Stnaley has been held back because it is only him or o'bree for one position. Personally, I think MM should have given stanley 4 consecutive games in the middle. MM only used to play him for half a game out of position.

Source? or just your opinion?

Well my source tells me different re delistings

Chris Bryan.

John Bennell

Thats it unless you need to throw in Rocca, Clarke and Dyas

I heard that John Bennell was doing some good things. I can't see Thoolen sticking around. They gave him the second year they had to for his contract. I hadn't heard many good reports about his performances in the twos.

Didn't Cook ask to be traded? They might keep Corrie if Medurst and Leon go... guess the number of delistings would depend on how many good draft picks they have

surely if Stanners isnt delisted he would have 1 year MAX.

but i dont think so, there must be something about him thats meant he has never been given a chance.
I am a big fan of his, but laugh at comments from some that suggest they know more than MM, and its simply MMs ignorance that prevent him from getting a run?
I suspect its his decision making under pressure

I'll eat my hat if Bennell goes, just isn't gonna happen.

Thoolen, Corrie, Bryan (depending on how our trade weeks plays out) and Cook will all be on the move.

That is more than enough spots, we've got no need to get rid of young blokes simply for the sake of it (re Bennell).

As said it was from a fairly good source.. hope its wrong as well ..as I thought he had something

Remember he is only on the rookie list.. we delisted Thoolen then took him up again.

Will soon know if source is correct

Thoolen was on the main list and then delisted to be picked up on the rookie list so he wasn't using a spot, completely different.

Bennell has been on the rookie list from a year, was injured for a good part of it and come back to play some impressive footy towards the end of the year. There is virtually no reason to delist him (unless he had an off-field discretion, which I doubt)

Oh well, here is to hoping my hat tastes delicious because it seems Bennell is goneski.

Weird though, makes me think home sickness may have played its part

Late rush to the store for one of those chocolate hats is on the cards I think:D

My source is usually reliable

Rookies are on two year contracts, I don't even think we can de-list them unless we are willing to pay out their remaining year. Really doesn't make sense especially considering the weak draft this year is unlikely to yield many good rookie picks. I think your source is wrong.

Bennell indeed showed a bit, did look like he needed a lot more football into him but showed promise and IIRC kicked about five in one of our last VFL games.

Makes me think there had to be more too it (off the filed -home sickness?).

I think three more will go off the senior list and a lot will all come down to whether we trade someone(s) in a Jolly or Fev or some-such deal.

As for pure delistings:
Bryan, Corrie, Stanners, Cookie, Cox would all be nervous although I'd like to see Cox get another year.

Personnally, I'd through BJ in with that lot as well but doubt MM will.

we had to take Thoolen back because as an AFL requirement made by the player's association, all players on a senior lists' initial contract must be a minimum of two years. Although he was on our rookie list, we may still have been paying him senior wages.

They may have seen that he wasn't going to play senior footy in 2009.

Yes I did see that game.

I also watched the game the week before where he got 28 disposals and kicked 4 goals 5.

People do have bad games mate.

I am not saying he will be a star but I don't think he has been given a fair go.
