Has anyone picked this up in the week or so it has been out?

I loved the last couple of these games and the reviews seem to be pretty decent

No timer, no escorting, basically no difficulty. Probably pleases casuals, but alienates those who loved the older games.

Oh man escort missions....

The timer was good and bad in the original, you had to play more than once because you didn't have enough time to do everything, have you some urgency but also got you annoyingly dead sometimes for no good reason.

It makes it a totally different game. Now it's just an easy linear hack n slash.

I think I only died maybe about 4 times for the entire game the easiest Dead Rising game I've played it was a lot of fun though.

Capcom is bringing Dead Rising 4 to PlayStation 4 this December. The PS4 release, which Capcom is calling Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package, will include all of the game's currently available downloadable content and a new mode called Capcom Heroes.

Have you played any of the others?

It's not as good as DR3. Less polished and less content.

I had enough fun with it but I had a blast with DR3.
