It's fine and dandy when he's beating up on pub grade teams like New Zealand and Pakistan on lifeless snorefest drop in wickets in Australia but when put on an overseas deck which offers a bit of seam and spin he crumbles apart like a 2 week old dog turd.

Keep him in the hit and giggle bubble gum 20 20 20 and home tests for all i care....just leave him as far away as possible from the real cricket.

This discussion obviously only occurs away from Australia. He's the definition of a home track bully and would be first picked in the home tests.

That being said, not sure today was his fault per say, Jadeja is just class and got him with a good one.

Well, you could argue Cowan's earned a recall with sheer weight of runs this season. But that's probably academic; even if he wasn't old and written off the selectors would have palpitations by about opening with two accumulators.

Individually I don't rate Warner at all away from home, but he has always batted well in partnerships, regardless of who he's with - our opening stands may not last long, but it's pretty rare that we're 1 down for less than 30-40 runs. For that reason I can't see him being dropped any time soon.

418 runs at 46 in the recent Ashes says he isn't actually the worst in England.

Not bad in the Windies either looking at most recent series stats.

Khawaja is fifty times better than Warner. Has a sound defensive technique which is what you need in 5-day cricket.

Bet he's chomping at the bit to score some runs next test.

I said before the series that sitting this one out was the best thing that could have happened to Khawaja otherwise it would him failing and everyone ripping into.

I wouldn't be dropping him, he works as hard as anyone on his game and he'll click eventually, he's also the most selfless batsman I've seen, he values his wkt but he's very prepared to throw it away for the greater good, give the guy a break.

Has a sound defensive technique which is what you need in 5-day cricket.

You need a lot of things to succeed in 5 day cricket. One of them is the ability to get singles and rotate the strike. Khawaja cannot do this, and as a result he is easy pickings for Test quality spinners.

He will last about as long as Warner and make half as many runs.
