Declining/extinct footy terms

One is the term "rover", haven't heard it been used for years, another is "wingmen".
Both have seemed to die and being melded into the generic term "midfield"

"Forward pocket" and "back pocket" don't get used any more, "small forwards" and "small defenders" or "goalsneak" seem to be the preference now.

Any others that have gone out of fashion?

Not a term as such, but do you notice you don't have the quick play-on from a point kick-in anymore? When they took away the need to wait for the goal ump to wave his flags and put the extra balls, players would kick-in almost immediately for a year or two. Rarely see it now.

After watching some Grand Finals from the '70s, one thing not heard in commentary anymore, but heard frequently then, was "There's the go for [...]" when the ball came into the possession of a given player.
