Deconstructing the JonBenet Ramsey case - Delphi Murders

Another thing. The PJ top that JonBenet was wearing on XMAS evening was left on her bed. She was found dead in another top.

Why was this removed? And if she was put to bed, why was the top left on the bed whilst she apparently was put to bed?
Everything she was wearing was actually different to what she went to bed wearing.

I don't buy the fact that it was a burglary gone wrong. Someone who knows more about crime and stats may be able to shed light on this.

Why would a burglar kill a small child if they were caught? Just high tail it out of there, the kid won't be able to provide much of a witness account and the burglar would be free.

Could you please remind me what she was wearing when she went to bed and what she was wearing when she was found?
Apparently she went to bed wearing her winter sleepwear. And found wearing tights and a tee shirt. Her mother made this statement to police that she had a full outfit change between bedtime and discovery of body.

It starts with burglaries, the offender gets cocky and it escalates to exploiting the situation with a sexual assault or they're disturbed and things get violent.

Multi level houses where the owners sleep upstairs are prime targets, especially straight after Christmas when everyone has unwrapped all their presents and there's a lot of new gear, gadgets, expensive toys, new cameras, video recorders back then etc. The Ramsey house had four levels.

i'm wondering if JB wet the bed after she was put down, got up herself to change her pants and top, saw a light flickering and thinking someone was up she went downstairs. Helped herself to some leftover pineapple, looked around and spotted someone who wasn't family, screamed and got whacked over the head. It went from there.

But the half brother looks real suspicious now. It's kind of disgusting that Patsy left cum rags and semen stained sheets and frilly pillowcases lying around without noticing it and cleaning/washing up.

Whoever wrote the ransom note killed JonBenet
The notepad and letter had Patays fingerprints all over it, no one elses. There was also a test letter written before the final letter was left to be found.

This on its own is damning.

Half brother John Andrew has been totally cleared from the early days. Rock solid alibi and proven many times. DNA on JB was not from family. The suitcase DNA was just a trace on a blanket JA had probably used for a discreet encounter with a lady or with himself on a night out.

I think Patsy said she was put to bed in a t-shirt with an embroidered silver star and white leggings.

The autopsy report said she was wearing long sleeved whit knit collarless shirt, the mid anterior chest area of which contains an embroidered silver star decorate with silver sequins and long white underwear with an elastic waist band containing a red and blue stripe.

Perhaps you are getting confused with the pink pyjamas she had on Christmas Morning?

The pink top is on the bed in her room.

Why is it still there on the morning she is discovered dead? She wouldn't go to sleep with the top on the bed still surely?

She had two beds in her room, the red/pink top was on the spare. I'm seeing this on another site here:

Clothing Found on JonBenet's Body
When her body was found in the wine cellar, JonBenet was wearing:

  • Gap shirt: a white shirt with a star made out of sequins.
  • Underwear: size 12 Bloomingdale's underwear (several sizes too big for JonBenet) with "Wednesday" written on them. Visibly urine-stained.
  • Long johns: a pair of boys' long johns with a fly front. Visibly urine-stained.
  • Jewelry: a golden necklace with a cross and a ring.
  • Hair ties: JonBenet's hair was "fixed in two ponytails, one on top of the head secured by a cloth hair tie and blue elastic band, and one in the lower back of the head secured by a blue elastic band".

Clothing Found at the Scene
In the wine cellar: Nightgown

In JonBenet's bedroom: The shoes, pants, and vest she had worn to the Whites' party. The red turtleneck Patsy originally claimed JonBenet wore to bed. JonBenet's pajama shirt from the previous night (but no PJ pants). Feces-stained gray pants on the floor of JonBenet's bathroom.

She was asleep when she got home and her mother just left her t-shirt on and took off the velvet pants and put some leggings on her. That was how she was found the next day.

Episode 4, two drops of blood were found on a night robe that belonged to John on the floor beside Benets body. One of the blood drops belonged to Benet.

White searched the wine cellar at 6am but did not find the body, yet John found the body at 1pm in the wine cellar.

White recalled that John screamed out in pain seeing his dead daughter BEFORE he even turned on the light in the cellar.

Whites ended up ending their friendship with the Ramseys.

Wine cellar is a windowless room. Also, going from a very well lit area to a completely dark room causes one to need a bit of time to have their eyes adjust.

That house is like a rabbit warren, the basement layout is quite creepy and it looks like you'd really have to know it quite well to get around in the dark but there's so many hiding places, someone could have been down there for days and the Ramseys probably wouldn't have known anyone was there.
