It starts with burglaries, the offender gets cocky and it escalates to exploiting the situation with a sexual assault or they're disturbed and things get violent.

I think the ransom note the killer too familiar with the family to have been a random break in.

But the half brother looks real suspicious now. It's kind of disgusting that Patsy left cum rags and semen stained sheets and frilly pillowcases lying around without noticing it and cleaning/washing up.

Professional homekeeper chimed in about the state of utter disrepair and lack of maintenance of the Ramseys ....feces on the bed, unflushed toilets, no toilet paper anywhere, burks soiled underwear in benets room, junk everywhere, nothing ever cleaned up, broken windows left for months, living rooms etc all a mess.......etc..... home keeper says 80% of her clients are rich like ramseys but regardless not one of her clients has ever displayed such an utter disrespect of their home and disgusting mess like was on display at the ramseys. Home keeper says it highlights the mentality and psychology of a family, how they maintain their homes

JonBenét’s murderer’s “Hi-Tec” boot print found next to her body was of the “Left Boot Tread” of a female’s “1996 Lady Shasta” (Grey & Purple) or “Shasta” (Brown & Green) not to be confused with “Shasta II” .. This was not a Law Enforcement or EMS type boot .. The only other “Hi-Tec” boot to have the same “Solid Triangular” tread was the “Topaz Jr.” (Mocha & Spruce / Navy & Plum) .. These 1990’s “Hi-Tec” boots were basically made for “Women & Children” .. So were the colors.

I think that points to an intruder, nobody in the house at that time of night after everybody's gone to bed is going to get up and put their Hi-Tec boots on to creep around the house when they can do it bare feet, socks or slippers?

Start of Ep5 goes into a Burk did it theory he saw online that he reads out....and admittedly its a very good collection of thoughts, the best BDI hes ever heard, says MS.

Then another theory he reads out that a female intruder, jealous of benet, or more appropriately, of Patsy....and staged the scene and note to suggest Patsy is guilty. Especially in context with the practice ransom note found ....like courtney love theory of putting a hit on kurt cobain, a bunch of notes were found in courtneys backpack of her practicing to write letters that match the words on kurts suicide letter, that match his hand writing. So someone very close to Patsy, who knows personal info, seen her hand writing, etc, is the intruder and tried to set her up, the evidence so sloppily done like someone trying to set someone else up.

I cant summarize this well, you have to watxh the start of ep5, the theory is very very good, how they connect stuff together about the garottez use of the garotte, cause of death, dragging body via garotte, not a tool to kill but to control and puppet a person where you want them to go.....an adult wouldnt need a garotte but a child of aimilar age would need something like that, etc. Worth a listen.

Time between death by skull fracture to dried mucus in nostril from strangulation is 45 mins. If it was an intruder, they had to have hung around too long.

JA was stated as saying the layout of the house was confusing, so had to be intruder because wine cellar was not easy to find (MS finds that a curious statement).

Again, more contradictory statements the parents telling very different stories about their movements the night before, as well as Patsy asked by police if habd writing found on a photo album of benet (which matched ransom note) was her writing....and she initially tried to deny the photo album writing was hers.....which is such a terrible attempt at a lie.

Ep5....middle of ....goes into a very similar case in Boulder, a year later, of a male intruder who broke into a 14 yos house, hid in the basement for hours, before going into her bedroom on a second floor, sexually assaulting her, but mother was a light sleeper, and managed to scare him off, even threatened to beat her over the head. She went to same dance school as JonBenet.

A lot of similarities but a lot of differences.

Only interested in digital penetration. Knew her name tho her and mother say he didnt look familiar. Dont scream or I'll hurt you otherwise i wont.

MS....cant underestimate that a sex crime can turn violent if things go bad

MS showing how not unlikely a home intruder is, someone lurking inside for hours, there was no forced entry, shows skill in finding a way in. Never was caught. Also how LE can botch cases, as that case was also botched with lack of investigation. As well as neglect by LE to compare the two cases etc. Incompetence.

Blonde hair guy tho, but didnt leave any fibers or dna.

LE said the ransom note was a big difference that separates them. Other LE disagreed with those LE, arguing back and forth why they do and dont match

Now MS goes into analysis of Lou Smith and evidence around him that suggests he was a puppet for the Ramseys, paid to sell the intruder story, had filtered info provided, etc.

MS just going thru all manner of theories, info, for and against all manner of potential suspects and popular theories.

Lots of suss occurrences surrounding the pilot and the family plans for the days following Christmas in Ep 7.

Also interested to know what John was doing on Boxing day when he went missing to 'collect his mail'. Was this ever corroborated?

Episode 9... very interesting going into the possibility of someone connected to John's bank being the perpetrator based on the details given in the note.

MS mentioned in Ep5 of another similar home invasion in Boulder a year after the Ramsey murder, where the guy was said to have blonde hair, longish, showing under a cap he wore, and he was never found. Michael Helgoth. He was also suspected of another child sex murder months before Ramsey case. The police were tipped off about him but did not take it further. He was eventually murdered himself years later. Surely police still could test his DNA with the DNA from the Ramsey case. Don't think it's ever been done? Photos from his crime scene even showed he had a stun-gun (tho different type) and hitec boots with possibly the same kind of mold from the cellar floor wedged into the logo of the boots. He had been served a 'stay away order' by his girlfriend because she said he admitted he could not trust himself around the daughter. He also had a clip of the news report of a little girl who had been strangled in the Boulder Area two years earlier. Helgoth told John Kenady in late November that he had a "killer deal" around Christmas where he and a partner would each make $50 to $60K. After Christmas this deal fell through according to Helgoth. The day after Valentine's Day Helgoth was found dead. The police said it was a suicide but their was a pillow shot clear through. Though right handed the bullet entered the left side and traveled upwards. He had a hat with SBTC on it and two wolf dog pups with fur the same color as the fur found on JB's hands and stuck to the duct tape. He was a former sniper and a sadist. He'd shoot cats in the back and wring kittens' necks. He would shoot bullets right past people's heads at the junk yard his family owned. He also liked to dress as a ninja and roam around at night."

I reckon, that he was murdered and it made to look like a suicide straight after a police presser designed to put pressure on the killer/s makes it even more convincing.

Starts to make sense too that there was more than one intruder in the house that night. Looking at it as if there was two in there, I can see how it might have played out over nearly an hour and why.

The upstairs is not quite as untidy but yeah it's hard to understand how they functioned with anything remotely resembling efficiency in day to day life. Not just Patsy who was untidy and I acknowledge she'd had cancer but it was John as well. In one of his interviews, he couldn't even remember on what wall the buttons to operate the garage door were.

Go figure.
