Oliver, Petracca, Brayshaw saved this from being a 6 goal loss. Our peripheral players are under developed 1 on 1.

The biggest issue however is that Goodwin isn't humble enough to accept when our game style isn't working.

Pies turned it into a scrap in the second half and just played pressure footy. Moved it forward any way they could. It has worked for them for 11 weeks. We had to do the same but Goodwin reinforces the system and perfect ball movement and stupid zones and runs us ragged. 1 on 1 our guys didn't know what to do.

In these sorts of crunch games where our system is failing I'd rather Williams rev them up and tell them how to keep it simple.

47 to 20 inside 50s at one stage. The game should have been over irrespective of missing a few sitters. Forward line is a shambles.

Had an absolute mare tonight, but has been good since coming into the team. Still a better option than Rivers, Hunt, Bowey and shudders Smith
He’s had a shaky month. I like him but he looks his age now. Teams will bring fwd pressure and he can’t cope

We'll probs be playing an elim final against the Doggies/Saints/Tigers, absolute nightmare fuel.
Nah, we probably still finish top 4 purely because of combination of teams playing around us. Sydney host Collingwood next week, Brisbane away to saints. I think we win our next 2 based solely on how we match up on them.

Trying to be glass half full, bizarrely. What's funny tonight is that we played well in the first half when our offence was in sync, but we weren't defending the best. Second half we defended better to an extent, but went forward incredibly poorly.

Also find it bizarre how Oliver had little influence last week and in the first half tonight, but the second half he went full beast mode, but it hurt our cohesion a lot more. 28 second half touches.

+22 CP
+20 clearances
+24 inside 50s

Staggering.
You just don't lose that game! In fact it's impossible but hey, if a club is gonna do it we will. Danster licking his lips tonight! Top 4 looks tough now. Good chance we'll be 5th by Sunday. Horrible loss.

Our 2nd halves are a problem. Been that way all season. Teams run out games better. Our mids are fantastic at finding the footy but seriously ordinary ball users. And we have those guys for 7 more years!! Our forwardline isn't crafty or good enough to make something out of the disgraceful entries. F50 needs an overhaul. I'm not sure Stafford will be there next year. It's a dogs breakfast in there.

The boys just haven't looked hungry enough all season. Pressure last in the comp, 2nd half fade outs, some selfish acts. Can see us playing Tigers or Dogs in an EF and losing. Just that sort of season I reckon.

Don't think I felt this mad about a footy game in years. Honestly felt better after losing a Prelim by 10+ goals in 2018 than this

****ing deplorable

Almost carbon copy of the Dogs game. Dominate around the footy, look good but don't capitalise fully in the first half, then slowly go to pieces with no workrate, spark or smarts in the last quarter.

The Telstra tracker curse strikes again - we were out worked. Pies averaged 7.7kmh in defence and us a lowly 7.3kmh - and we got sucked into running harder in attack at 7.7kmh which isn't us.

This ain't our year. Too many times we've been run down in the same fashion at the G. Other teams have the edge in the last and we've panicked too many times.

Also he can look good at times, but Sparrow just doesn't do enough with the amount of time he spends running through the middle. Admittedly, he had less CBAs tonight, but nine disposals is putrid.

Harmes still the better option at this stage in their careers
Seemed like a game Harmes would have played well in.

Was expecting a Richmond or Saints board tier melt on here after that one. If any game deserves the mother of all melts it's that one. You guys are too reasonable.

Staggering.
Only we could lose with those numbers.
Our inefficiency in all facets tonight really showed up how we go about it.

It's difficult melt as hard when you can see it coming from a mile away.

What's the point in melting when you got beaten fair and square?
We should have won but we didn't, because we were inefficient and they were not.
Umpiring sucked, but sucked for both teams, so that's a non factor.
We got outcoached and from that, outplayed.
See, too reasonable. Can't disagree though, we have only ourselves to blame.

Also, who on earth is Ash Johnson and why is he already better than all of our KPFs?
Fair call.

Our list is looking a bit shakey going forward tbh. Not just up forward either.

I'm very worried about Lever in defence. Other than the punch, he's limited atm.

Ruck stocks need replenishing if Jackson goes.

Peripheral youngsters like Sparrow, Jordan not where they need to be.

No KPFs at all really.

A lot of players slowing up too.

From level 4 I did notice that when Brayshaw was in the centre in the first half we were doing stuff right.

Then second half scoring less Bshawplays the wing.
Play Angus in the middle ffs
Did y'all see it that way too?
BOG in the first half by a mile. Then crazy Goody stepped in! Hasn't had a great year Simon.

Spargo's another one that just doesn't do enough at the moment, but he stays in purely because he's our one competent kick going inside 50.
