Had a few chances to extinguish any chance Melbourne had, before they even got a real sniff. And he blew them all. I've been questioning for a couple of seasons now whether he REALLY wants to play AFL for Freo. He never looks like someone fighting for his AFL career. It was a joke that he was included this week.
How many people have been banging on about playing Murphy over Taz? When Taz is fit he is 100 times the player Murph is.
Murphy just isn't up to the standard, doesn't have any fight in him and simply lacks determination.
Time to give Kiwi or Keplar the same amount of chances as Murph as always had and see what they can do.
One of those 3 has to go at the end of the year.

Murphy and Campbell both need to go neither is up to AFL standard.
Murphy definitely.
Kiwi - probably. Would like to see Kiwi given as many chances as Murph tho and see what he could do for five games on the trot or something. But yeah, I'm not expecting much.
IMO i'd prefer to give Keplar a run - at least the guy would be desperate to succeed with his last chance on an AFL list.

Murphy could have been a great forward but his career has been ruined by mismanagement and poor coaching.

Typically underacheiver, kicks 6 in the WAFL so gets a run for Freo and blows it.
I think hes been given enough chances and will be traded. (Should have done this last year for a young midfielder)

He just has to go. Back to the WAFL.

I used to be a big supporter of Murphy but he has shown nothing and as such cannot be allowed to play.
Time to give Keplar Braddley a run and give him at least 4 weeks to give it his best shot. At least he is a body type and shape that will prove difficult to match up on. Murphy has no heart adn no size.
As a result he should have no more games for Fremantle. Our season is gone, at least we can see now who on the list is worth keeping.

Wallis said a few weeks back that Murphy has talent to burn but doesn't get the ball enough and more importantly doesn't do enough to go get the ball when he doesn't have it. I suspect he was on his last chance.

Disagree completely. Was great when we were winning and the ball was being delivered lace-out. Definition of "front-runner".

Absolutely useless player.
He's had all the chances in the world and there are no excuses left for him. He doesn't get much of the ball, and when he does, he kicks points. Who needs him? Piss him off.

Even in the WAFL he's not usually demanding the ball. Doesn't work hard either leading or applying pressure. Tends to stand in a spot and get the ball kicked to him. I can't remember the last time I saw him apply a tackle, crash a pack to take a mark etc. No physical presence really at all.
Even in the WAFL he is lazy. South have been top 3 for the 4 years he's been at the club and maybe it's his (South) team mates making him look "good" in the WAFL. If you look at his WAFL stats he may kick 3 or 4 goals a game with the odd 6 goal performance but he's usually only getting the ball half a dozen times a game. Not good enough for a player of his talent and he usually has the height and weight advantage too. He really should be racking up 12 marks and 18 kicks a game in the WAFL. He doesn't because he is too lazy. He's happy to have the 3 or 4 goals beside his name with out putting in as he should. And unfortunately his trade value has gone right down over the last 2 years.
