I backed it with the ages of the Brownlow winners,just because it is of yours a one other that the brownlow is a bad example,that can be your views.

any one with half a brain knows that a player with 3 to 4 preseason and a between 70 to 100 games would be considered to be coming into there peak age .drafted at 18 plus three to four preseasons player a is 21/22 years of age, so maybe I could change view to 23 to 27 .

18 to 22 development
23 to 27 peak
28 to 32 veteran

and you have never once backed your view just judged mine .I believe that I have been more than willing to give you a answer.

To start with, I largely agree with your view of development/peak/veteran. But I don't think the Brownlow means that much, because like others have said that really applies to the midfield whereas KP players can peak later (Cox, Glass as examples).

To be honest, we're just debating semantics here anyway, as words like "development", "peak" and "veteran" mean different things for different roles and players.

With our later picks in this year's draft he'd be a great pick-up in my opinion.

He had a very good year in the WAFL, the best in recent times for an 18yo. I only see him as an outside player but he has a huge engine and with the AFL going 2-2 on the interchange it will only help his chances.

I see Nelson as a Leigh Montagna type. Definite potential but as most of us already have said, should of been drafted last year.

Height/ size. That was what i thought anyway. But TBH i think there might be something else like he interviewed poorly or something because most people where baffled he didn't even get taken as a rookie last year.

One sub at least has some argumentative value about fairness and not having to play slightly injured players. Two subs is just retarted.

Actually reckon he might be worth more than that now. Wouldn't mind using pick #57 on him but even that I think is optimistic.

I still don't get why we didn't rookie Nelson last year. Players who were rated early, but fall down the draft order due to sickness/injury or discipline issues are the guys we should be targeting with our rookie picks. High risk, high reward.

Knightmare now has Lowrie and Rodda in the 50's. Would love to somehow end up with both of them, and Nelson. Someone like Kent is likely to be around that sort of range aswell.
