All 3 of the old raids brought up to light level, challenge modes added, weekly featured raids.

Bringing back all of your old stuff as a final hurrah to the game has made sense and the community called it years ago. Good to see they are doing it though.

community called for it, and BNG denied it because they knew they'd need to fill a hole with all hands on deck for the final 6 months before D2. Smart, really

I don't think they intended to do it originally. But when D2 got delayed until 2017 they probably put it into motion after ROI dropped.

It gives everyone one hit of nostalgia and makes everything relevant for anyone who comes in after March.
 
Yeah read that, good to see there is acknowledgement for those good enough though. Just funny there will be a small % of the community getting that :P

They do a fair bit wrong but they make an effort with their playerbase. Will be good to get people into the raids that jumped on after VoG and Crota.

I'd love to know the percentage of the playerbase for those who reached the lighthouse and completed a raid.

Both basically end game activities and I think it would be a pretty low percentage for both.
 
I'll play this for sure but given none of the emblems or shaders carry forward to Destiny 2 I'm not overly fussed about completing the book and unlocking the emblems.

Got to agree.

Understand the reasons and will enjoy the last event but kida already have my thoughts to Destiny 2

As someone who has been a lone wolf since day dot i think I may gives these a go before it clocks over to Destiny 2.

Is Lyg any good still for the PS4? I tried it once before but got some very unhelpful Americans which put me off it.

I undersold myself, thought my light was 250 but it was 350 so I have grinding strikes the last few days and managed 359. It's a constant flow blues that I can infuse for small light increases so levelling up is actually no problem, but do you guys know of any shortcut ways to get to 390? All the guides I've found are a little dated and given the age of the current expansion I'm not sure if they've included anything lately to help out the stragglers who have missed the opportunity to raid the current content. I have exclusively used Iron Banner to level up since TK as I haven't had any buddies to raid with since Crota but I don't know when the next IB is. Would absolutely love to squeeze in a vault before this is dust.

The plus side is that you don't have to scramble for VOG this week as it is Crota to begin with.



Tips for leveling up depend on how many resources you have amassed over the years. Have a lot of motes or old Ascendant/Radiant materials? You're in luck, start pumping motes into your favourite FWC/DO/NM vendor at your highest light level and get some faction packages to help boost your light. Pick armour or weapons depending on which side needs light more at the time and hopefully RNG will start propping you up. If you have exotic engrams use them sporadically to boost an area which has fallen behind. EG all of your armour is 370 but your boots are 361, that's the time to pop a boot engram as it will likely be 375ish.

Eventually you'll get to a point where your artifact is your weakest option. This is where you'll need a skeleton key (you can get one grinding strikes or from completing the Nightfall). You run a SIVA strike until the end, pop the chest at max light and you should get a higher light blue artifact along with your legendary reward. Then you can continue with the faction package leveling if you have the resourses.

If you don't have any of these things then you'll need stuff that drops a lot of blues quickly to get your light up quickly. But the above is mostly how I bridged the game from 365 > 385 during the initial ROI drop.
