From what I've read the changes start at the Shrieker run (with 3 and they respawn if you take too long)

Pretty much. Before then it just seems to be more yellows.

No different to VoG which added an extra oracle to templar, stationary gorgons and that's about it until Atheon.
 
I think I just finished the "story" game. Some sort of cinematic played. When it's such a weak story an achievement to let me know I'm done what have at least been nice Bungie :(

So, I'm level 25 and I have been since, like, August or October, and I appear to be going nowhere. Do I need to start raiding to get better gear or do I have to keep grinding for rep to get gear with light in it to boost me to 26?

Your best bet is to grind for the level 31 gear from Vangard/Crucible vendors. that will raise your level really quickly coupled with an Exotic from Xur.

Then enter raids for better weapons.

Run bounties to get your Vanguard reputation up to level 2 (needed to buy legendary armour) and run the strike playlist to earn Vanguard marks. Then buy legendary armour from your vanguard guy.

Also as sledge said above try to get some exotic armour from Xur.

I'd recommend initially buying legendary chest, boots and gloves (because they're cheaper than a helmet) and trying to get a decent exotic helmet from Xur (earn/save your strange coins).

Which console are you on?

Looks like I will need to get levelling my Suros (partially levelled haven't actually upgraded anything yet though) and Red Death.

I cheesed the second section yes. That first section is just bad level design that I and many others took advantage of, just like hiding in a room killing Phogoth.

No, the first section you did it cheesy. You managed to lose the thralls and knights for half of it.

Phogoth... intentionally designed that way due to the shreiker in the room.

You and many others then can't yawn at a higher level raid when your still just looking for shortcuts. The raid is about challenging yourself, your teammates, and having fun in the process. I think people forget that.

How to fix: Make thralls spawn wherever the players are forcing you to get a team together to survive.

It was not intended from the devs, hence it is a bug. You abusing that bug is what cheesing is.

It is fun, when I play Vault of Glass. Maybe it's because I don't enjoy the new raid as much as the old one so I couldn't give two shits about doing it legit over "cheese" maybe it's because you can go through a whole raid and only get Energy or Shards or maybe people enjoy playing the game a different way to others :eek:
 
Most of you guys are on reddit but did you see the guys keill crota in 3min 40sec on HM

All I was saying, or trying to bring up is don't go slamming the hard mode for being boring if you don't want to play it.

Awesome, that was a very smooth run. I'm surprised people are still running VoC especially in HM.

We've got as many Gjallarhorn's in our party as they do so might need to pinch a few of their positioning tactics to avoid knights & stuff, would love to get word of crota & possibly a helmet for my Titan lol.
