Pretty ridiculous thread...it seemed for all money that he had done an ACL and was a still lying on the ground when the stretcher came out. If anything, the umpires made a mistake in stopping play straight away instead of letting the ball go out of bounds first.

Didn't see it but player safety should always take first priority, if they feel the call for a stretcher is needed bring it out.

I also question if this is a pre arranged tactic why we would use it on a meaningless H&A game and not say in a tight GF like 2012.

I was fine at first for the stretcher. Looked a serious acl. But then for the stretcher to be called moments before or after he got up and jogged off was abit suspect.

Plenty of other moments cost us that game. Not saying they didn't cheat or they did. But we let 3 easy goals in the last few mins of the first quarter. That to me had more impact on the game.

Can't really do much even if a team wanted to abuse it, they will run the player safety line.

If they call for a stretcher the player should not be able to play the next week
