Watched it in slow motion and yes, I concede he's gone. Lucky the lad is OK and on the mend, as I don't believe that was the tackler's intention.

Yes, it wouldn't have been called ten years ago, but it was rare that the games were filmed. We've passed that now, and it's what we are taught to protect the head; we all know, as do the players.

Once again, I am glad the player is OK and hope he gets through the concussion protocols and gets back to playing soon.

Word is he has been offered a 3 week suspension with an early guilty plea. Not sure what else he was meant to do.

Top 5 all sitting at 4 and 1 after 5 rounds. Nice and tight with them then a drop off.

Surely the league has to step in and strongly 'recommend' to both Norwood and Bayswater that both clubs should consider a double relegation. Both been uncompetitive for 2 seasons, avoiding relegation and getting belted every week for a 3rd straight season would be a disaster, if not already.
Finishing bottom could almost be a blessing,

Depends too if the runner-up wants to come up however.

I think there should potentially be another relegation for any team who doesn’t finish bottom, but finishes with 8 points or less (2 wins, perhaps only over the bottom side) and 50% or less (clearly uncompetitive). That’s Norwood at the moment.

I would offer their spot to the runners-up below if they want it. Otherwise they can stay there.

That’s a clear rule and everybody knows where they stand. Runner-up has to answer within the week after the GF.

Good to see Oakleigh District get on the board today. Bayswater, Norwood, Forest Hill and Nunawading look super alarming. Noble Park aren’t much better, thought their percentage is a bit more respectable at 62.

2 up 2 down like the amateurs (not sure whether I like though).D1 not sure Mooroolbark are much better then Norwood and Bayswater.

Bayswater and Norwood would be in the bottom few of 2nd div at best right now.
Whoever avoids relegation, they will be even more uncompetitive next season, atleast this season they have each other to look forward to playing, next year will be different.say tempy go up and noble come down. Both those clubs will have the resources to push for finals.
Looking at the ladders, not much in the 2s or 19s to hold much hope.

Wandin should have another think about transferring to our league, if it were to happen, both Norwood and Bayswater could be relegated and Wandin plus Div 2 premier into Div 1. There might be a bee in one's bonnet about netball, however how long has football existed in the outer eastern suburbs compared to netball?
