I have been reading about this on some of the other threads. In my experience looks do count, with both men and women. A year and a half ago i was overweight by about 15 kgs, and women would not touch me with a ten foot pole. Having lost that weight now, and being much fitter than I have ever been, women will talk to me.
There are two ways this can be looked at. That I now have more confidence with myself, and thus women appreciate this, or alternatively I am easier on the eye so to speak.
I have to say that I think it is pathetic how society has been programmed, so that they have to "look" a certain way. The only reason I lost the weight was so I was fit enough to join the airforce after I finish my Uni degree.
Finally I would have to say women are just as superficial as men. I have experienced constantly being shunned and rejected, and it hurts. Women constantly tell us they don't like to be judged on their looks, so stop being hypocritical.
