Only one thing can save us now...if we get enough on the back of the deal, i.e. pick in the 20s and if they can get Caddy for 27 and get 15 for Lids...that will be acceptable IMO..so we can get Nankervis in and we go to the draft with 15 and 20 something and Nankervis, Caddy, Prestia and no Lids..i give that the thumbs up

In King's defence; that's not how Wallace tells the story. Wallace has made it public that King only went with Newman because no one else stood up and said they would. Any predictions on Dimmer's lines for next year? 'Loss of Deledio/experience' is a pretty safe lead. Vickery may well get a run. 'New faces...new system...time to gel' seems likely. If we have a single injury heading into the season he can drag out that old standby.

He's heading into uncharted terrain in terms of being the least successful coach in the history of the game, I'm expecting huge things from Dimmer's six volume collection of intellectually offensive, dishonest, piss-weak excuses in 2017.

Selections is the one thing I hate over all else, and I expect this comment to get a fair run next year, when we gamble spots & games on players purely based on potential instead of form.
It probably annoys the good players as much as the players who lose a spot or others who deserve a spot.
Astury, CEllis, Townsend, Rioli, Vickery before that, Morris in the forward line, Chaplin in the forward line.
We can't win games of footy if we don't put our best in form players on the park in the right spots.

Markov & Short deserved a spot this year based on form. So many others didn't.
I think we have lost many games by not playing potential instead of quality, especially this year.

Unfortunately once the decision was made to extend for two years, the slow ankle strapping removal process was put into place. You know the one that rips out those long stubborn lower leg hairs one by one.

If only the club had remember to shave the night before!!
