We like putting people in neat little boxes but the reality is that we don't fit.

We've created binary expressions for many things that are not actually binary and told people they need to conform to that binary or else

if non binary sex simply means there are people with a mixture of male and female anatomy rather then just one or the other then obviously they exist. As for non binary gender well someone has to actually define the word gender first.

Please not this again chief. You sent me to malfice last time because you did not know how to define gender yourself. Malfice said that gender is defined by social roles. I asked him what social roles define women and men (i never even got to asking him what social roles define the non binary gender) and he could not answer the question. He disapeared from this thread. No one could answer the question. Note your link, despite also implying gender as social roles, cant provide any examples.

and the reason is because once you try to define men and women by social roles you realise you are being a bigot and unwinding 150 years of the womens liberation movement.

there is no definition of gender that is distinct from sex that is not a highly bigotted one.


edit - actually at the very end of that link it does go full on bigot mode and provide some examples. so a person of the sex female cant be the gender female if they earn more money then their partner of the male sex. Their genders now switch from their sex in this case. Boy what a way to keep women down on the income ladder by literally stating that income determines ones gender.

Gender is obviously a hard thing to define but I think most of us have it as part of our 'sense of self'.
Of course I cant say for sure as I only have my own experience and cannot put myself into anothers mind so if they say they are all genders or none, who am I to argue?

My only issue with the concept of Non binary is what some of its exponents have done inventing pronouns and honorifics.
I think its a bit silly to be honest.
Still im happy to play along.
