Dockers snubbed in origin side

I just read that overnight the WA origin side was named. Of this 10 eagles were named and just 3 dockers.

Jeff Farmer (forward pocket)
Luke McPharlin (CHF)
Peter Bell (bench warmer)

While it doesn't surprise me that the eagles would dominate this given their great season, it does shock me that there were just 3 dockers named. The stand out to me was Shane Parker not being named. For mine he has had a sensational season, surely a few dud kick ins couldn't have robbed him here?

And what's the go with McPharlin being named at CHF? What a shocker!

Stenglein deserves to be there, he has had a much better year than he ever had at Adelaide. You only have to look at his stats. He single handidly won us the Roos game and has become a much more attacking player. He would be one of the first people id put in the team from West Coast anyway.

Banfield definetly doesnt deserve to be there. He has had one or more dreadful games. I wouldnt even consider him. Swap Carr for Banfield and put Kerr on the bench and that team would be about right. We are top of the ladder for a reason, plus we have many more recruits from W.A then Freo have.

You didn't see him play much at Adelaide did you?

He was great at the Crows as a tagger he averaged over 16 possesions a game in 2004. This year he has been more as a attacking midfielder because he has Judd, Cousins, Kerr, Fletcher and Braun to work with him whereas in his final season at Adelaide he had Ricciuto and that was about it. McLeod was playing half back and half forward while Goodwin was injured.

I think he had a lot more impact on his side last year at Adelaide then he has had this year.

If that side was to actually play a game it would be very short up front, especially with no second ruckman to rest in the forward line. Lots of pace there, but gee, Longmuir could be in a pocket. Hasn't had a stellar year, but the dual ability to kick goals and ruck is very important.
