Surely Carroll gets the job on Pavlich. Rivers would probably play on Murphy.

Neitz = McPharlin (this is where you could kill us)
Robbo = Parker
Bruce = Dodd
Dunn = Johnson (this is where we should win)
Davey = Hayden (another scary matchup)

Who will play on Farmer, he seems to score well against you guys, particularly now he's in some form??

You'd expect Matty Whelan to get Farmer. He did an alright job from memory when we played the Dockers earlier in the season. I've got a feeling Bruce and Johnstone will hit top gear and get back into form after a slow couple of weeks. They're gonna explode! Well, atleast I hope so

Whelan will get Farmer and probably beat him.

For memory Dunn gave Johnson a fair flogging at the G last time, not saying it'll happen again but I don't think the matchup is that clear cut.

Yeah you wooped us earlier this year, though White got to ruck against a debutant. And consequently took us to the cleaners. Farmers output is usally dependant on the midfield (obviously, as is most small forwards).

The ruck dual will be very interesting, Longmuir will be back for us and Sandilands hit some form last week. He really took Fraser to the cleaners.

The ruck will go a long way to deciding the match. I've got a feeling Matty Carr may get Bruce and Dodd will take johnstone.

perhaps McPharlin for Dunn and Parker for Neitz. I'm not the selectors, just an opinion how i'd play them. I'd back Johnson to beat Dunn, though it may explode in my face. (a bit like Mick Malthouse presuming Clement could run off our first year player in Drum).

should be a pretty good game but i think i would back our midfield to beat the dockers and that should be the difference. hopefully mcclean will be right to come back into the team which will be a big boost to the midfield this week. he is a very important player for us. wouldnt mind moloney coming back into the side as well for a bit more toughness in the middle as i think that may be a weakness of the dockers.

I noticed josh carr was not his usual angry self when we played freo last time, reckon it could be the Pickett factor?

Since we last met (including likely changes):

Freo's INs:
Sandilands
Longmuir
Peake
McManus
Murphy
Headland
Hayden
Drum

Freo's OUTs:
Grover (ouch, wish he was playing)
Thornton
Polak
Warren
Walker
Duffield
Cook
Medhurst

We'll be fielding a very different side since we met last. I think the changes for the coming game will be IN: Longmuir, Black OUT: Cook, Webster. Hopefully Crowley gets to play a full game this time round :)

Apart from Grover and Thornton, we are close to full strength.

How many changes will you have?

the only one that counts baby...

IN: MCLEAN

OUT: IT DOESN'T MATTER!

I'm not too confident this week, then again, I never am with this team of mine! Melbourne's tackling pressure has been second to none, and this could cause even more headaches for one of our main problems - disposal. If you put enough pressure on, I think our delivery to our forwards will be circumspect, and they will struggle to get enough marks to kick goals. Whelan usually does well on Farmer (he was out injured that day the Wiz kicked a bag at the G wasn't he?). I think Melbourne has not been playing to potential recently, still doing enough to win, but I think you are due to return to some better form soon. Hopefully its next week.

If Melbourne win, this becomes our 1000th victory I THINK. Yaaay. Bet you ND is gonna pump up that stat before the game *cough*

He was out in the game where Farmer kicked 7, but he has a good record vs Melbourne nonetheless.
The tackling thing was what happened last time. Freo dominated possession for most of the 1st but couldn't make use of it because we pushed back and keep putting pressure on.
Cracker of a game. I'm tipping Dees by 4, as I think Davey is just about ready to absoloutely rip a game apart (Yes I have said this before).
