I spared myself and just read the article lol. Can't do it anymore
Far better off reading an article on it for your mental health, that way you don't get to see Goody's shit eating "you don't know what you're talking about" grin when someone asks him about our inaccuracy.

Tilts me so hard.

Yup, that is one of the primary reasons lol. The air of arrogance is astounding

All fair points.

On Daicos, I think stopping him makes a big difference. In their two losses he wouldn't have been in the top 5 best for the Pies IMO. And maybe the inside/outside thing would need some co-ordination but that's not uncommon in modern tagging. I don't think there's anyone else capable of doing it. Clarry wouldn't have the tank or nous, Viney not playing, McVee needed in defence more than ever this week, other option could be Rivers I guess, but I'd rather sacrifice Langdon than him.

In terms of wingers, I reckon we've had Langford just about full time on one, and then a mixture on the other, and I'm keen to get Lindsay on the other wing more so getting Langdon out the way has lots of bonuses.
Yeah it's honestly hard. I wouldn't want to let him have a free run at it. Inside or if Daicos goes to half forward i don't have the confidence to have Langdon manning him.

The others you've mentioned are all have their issues, although mentioning Rivers, he's got the body and run for it, he could certainly hurt the Nick the other way and looks comfortable around half back, inside and if Nick goes to half back he can go to half forward, he's the only one i feel like could cover him in all positions

If it was 2018 and we had a younger Melksham with a better tank, i would give him the same role as ANB last year on him. I'd say take him if Daicos goes to half back, but i'd rather keep him tying down Moore

In all honesty it's hard to say, someone clearly needs to play a role on him. I don't rate langdon doing it tbf. Rivers i feel like could bully him at least and hurt him the other way, but he's never done any tags before so idk, he could end up going to hard on it like Sparrow. It's a hard one and he's a hard match up because if it's not working, Collingwood rotate him somewhere, where he can get into the game, you really need someone that can cover all positions he can play. You also want to stop him but not over focus as a collective because then you let their other movers get in the game too. **** he annoys me but this is where i might actually give him credit where it's due, his versatile combined with his fitness make him a hard player to work with. You really need a stopper that follows him EVERYWHERE

Not 100% sure Melksham plays, will wait until Monday, but he couldn't lift his arm past his chest by the end of the game. Not that that changes the Daicos situation, but just a watch IMV.

Daicos is just one part of the big picture anyways - Barring an out of the box game, I think we're in big big trouble given the complete opposite ends of the spectrum we're at with our efficiency and our inconsistent pressure.

Yeah i wasn't suggesting him anyway, just saying in his prime i would have given him that job

I'm also very concerned at most of their half backers and the way their mids spread

Yeah 100% got what you meant with Melksham, was more just thinking about selection in general.

Expecting a 7 goal loss unless we pull something out of our arses, but we have the least surprise-capable coach going around.

Putting a random idea out there - Langdon should tag Daicos.

Reasons: He seems to be playing the 'ANB role' (that it seems like everyone has been labelled with). Has the tank and legs to go with him (Claz obvs doesn't).

I reckon our best fit for purpose for young Daios, is Bowser.
He has the agility, run and change of direction to get after Daics.

I'm so sick of the lack of response from this group. If there was ever a time for a response to the pies, it was last year. We failed to do anything and as fans we had to sit with that all of pre-season. Or at least I did.

So regarding changes, I just think it's the wrong time to bring in Jefferson, for all of the above. He deserves his chance no doubt but it's just not the week to bring him in.

Maynard can be taken out of the contest fairly yet this club treats him like he's untouchable. Because we're scared of him. The guy is 6'2. Literally the height of a small point guard in basketball. It's a joke. I will be watching super closely to see which players stand up physically in this contest and moreso the players that don't.

Agree with what you're saying but I've lost all hope after Goodwin proactively allowed Wanganeen-Milera to have 21 kicks in the 2nd half against us last week. 21 darn kicks.
Goody was pants'd, last weekend.

Ross Lyon put on a masterclass, of match-ups and tactical advantage.

# I think it smacked of arrogance, the week prior in pre-game setups.

... must have thought, 'we back baby'.. and all is well in the world. Wrong.!

When we 'as a club', start to think, "we are a real good show here", its the time to bet against us... if your a gambler. ;)

Agree we've been pretty weak against the pies. It isn't like we need to go out and punch blokes but we play like we are scared of them. It's infuriating to watch.

Bowey isn't a tagger, and his kicking is vital in our backline. Can't see this happening.

Novel idea for tagging.

We should just get out whole fwd line to tag their fwd line. Play them in to form!

Worst case they would get a front row seat to set shots and goal kicking routines...

I see absolutely no combination ins/outs, game plan or positional wizardry that he's us over the line. They are playing way too well.

Only way is if they take us lightly or pick up a bunch of key injuries early. Which they won't, they love to stomp on us.

He said confident twice without putting 'incredibly' in front of it. Wheels have fallen off
I'm thinking we have an AI for a coach.

An AI with programming errors.
