Set up two cones 20m apart at one end of the ground. Have Poppy on one and Cyril on the other 20m ahead. Get the biggest kick in the team to roost the ball as far as possible. If Cyril gets the ball and is able to get to the other end and have a shot on goal without Poppy getting near him, he plays. If Poppy runs him down, he doesn't.

Unfortunately time has run out for Cryil, he didn't really do enough last week in the twos. If he hadn't re tweaked the hammy 5 weeks ago he would be right to go, as brilliant as he can be he just isn't match fit or hardened for such a game. Think Sewell will come in for simpkin to combat The swines big mids. BB for Cegs who has lost form at the wrong time of the year.

who is to say Cyril hasn't been put to the grind, test, pushed to the limit behind closed doors up until now and last week was the final step to give him a bit off game touch and feel..
while he didn't stretch out a great deal some of his jumps, movements, twists and turns didn't seem like a guy too concerned about a string..

Ohhh precious....would it make you feel better if this thread was either deleted or merged.

It would make me feel a whole lot better if an actual mod, for whom my post was directed towards (Just for your info precious) could furnish me with an answer towards addressing said inconsistencies...Last I looked, you are not a Mod & yet have taken the onus upon yourself of fashioning us with your opinion where it was not asked nor solicited for!

Stop making this thread about your opinion where it was not asked for!

You made it our opinion when you posted your winge in a public thread.......Precious, how bout you actually private message a mod rather than hijacking a thread with your sad little sob story.

Er....Maybe because I don't know which one did it Sherlock!!!!.....Once again, for you & the hard of hearing, stop arrogating to yourself an authority for which you do not possess sweet-cheeks!

No one is sobbing, merely looking for a direct answer from those in authority, of which you aint rose petal!....Put a sock in it ALF!:drunk:

Geewhiz.........your world must really be shrinking.
Precious.......you have a one in 5 chance with private messaging the mods, hell, you could private message all of them..... maybe you'll get the the direct answer that will help ease the pain you've held onto for over a week now. :)
Cyrill plays.

does the pope shit in the woods?

cyril must play lest we have malceski, rohan, shaw etc rebounding with impunity and nick smith on bruest.

we need cyril and puopolo in putting pressure on the ball carrier coming out of the swans' backline.

^^^ What he/she said! Shitney's defenders thrive on getting easy uncontested possession like they did against North. They will cut us up if they are allowed time and space but on the other side of the coin, will shit themselves and turn the ball over (Shaw, Rampe, Richards and Rohan in particular) if placed under consistent pressure. Enter Cyril Rioli, master of creating perceived pressure. Even at 75/80% he's more dangerous than Simpkin or Sewell in this area. He also draws attention away from Bruest.

Must play if he gets through training.

I think he starts. Obviously the Syds would want to put pressure on him to get him to pop the hamstring which is why I think he plays as a stay at home forward. He would also need to curb his natural instincts to chase very hard. It's the only way I can see it working.

He was shopping with the Mrs.......more therapeutic than sitting in the house.

Must've been desperate to get out! I can't think of many things worse than going to DFO with my Mrs.

Where does he live?
Wouldn't have thought he'd be over this side of town...

OUT: Ceglar, Spangher
IN: McEvoy, Rioli

For reference that gives us a GF team of
FB: Duryea, Lake, Stratton
HB: Hodge, Gibson, Birchall
C: Smith, Mitchell, Hill
HF: Breust, Roughead, Lewis
FF: Rioli, Hale, Gunston
R: McEvoy, Burgoyne, Shiels
Int: Suckling, Langford, Puopolo
Sub: Simpkin

Nailed it

I'd like to see that!

Match day situation, one on one 20 out, long bomb hits the deck and Cyril and Sydney player????? contest the ground ball. You have to back Cyrill. We know he has exceptional burst speed, elite disposal, evasiveness, agility and the pressure and the perceived pressure the opponent feels must be intense. He causes headaches for the opposition. He's short on match time but If fit, he must play.

Yeah - similar team to one against Sydney last time. Didn't freak out about their talls and played our own game. Don't mind it. We only had Schoenmakers with no Lake or Spang? Is that right? Will look
That team had Ceglar, Schoey, Lithers and Woodward.

This one would have Hale, Lake, Duryea and Rioli.

There you go. Could argue each are upgrades (on current form with the exception, possibly, of Rioli if he is too unfit)

So yeah - the team was not a tall defending team by any means for those scared of dropping Spangher

Can probably guarantee this has happened. Its just the club keeping their cards close. Cyril has been ready to go for 2 weeks. Cyril will play!
