Pick 1: Greater Western Sydney Giants

Lachie Whitfield (MID)

DOB: 18/07/1994
Height: 184cm
Weight: 74kg
Player Comparison: A rich man's Steele Sidebotom (Has more polish)
Recruited From: Dandenong Stingrays U18s
An outside mid who can play inside and has polished skills. Has outstanding endurance and an extremely high work rate. You will rarely ever see Whitfield walking on the field, let alone standing still. Kicks well with both feet, and his preferred is the left foot. Unselfishly minded but also has a knack for kicking goals. Has plenty of improvement and development to go which is exiting.

Range: Can't see him lower than Pick 1

Pick 2: Greater Western Sydney Giants

Jimmy Toumpas (MID/DEF)
DOB: 01/02/1994
Height: 183cm
Weight: 77kg
Player Comparison: Luke Hodge
Recruited from: Woodville West Torrens
Toumpas can turn a game on its head and influence his teammates for the better. He is a burst player who plays well consistently but then suddenly raise the bar for explosion. Very well skilled and a silky smooth looking player, is great to watch. Great athlete, his endurance is up there with Lachie Whitfield's. He has a big heart and a good work rate. Can play Forward, although he is better known as a MID/DEF. He can fight through injury (as displayed in the U18 Championships).

Range: Pick 2-4

Pick 3: Greater Western Sydney Giants

Brodie Grundy (RUCK)
DOB: 15/04/94
Height: 202cm
Weight: 100kg
Recruited From: Sturt
Player Comparison: Todd Goldstein
Grundy has improved immensely over the last couple of years. Having been a basketballer, Grundy has exquisite athletic ability and a fantastic leap. His groundwork developed well this year, and is probably the only player capable of challenging Whitfield for No.1 pick. His hitouts are rarely to the opposition. A good, strong overhead mark, but seems to fluff the easy chest marks. Great room for improvement which is exciting because he has improved so much already. Lots of upside. His skill level is surprisingly good.

Range:2-4

Pick 4: Melbourne Demons

Jonothan O'Rourke (MID)
DOB: 21/04/1994
Height: 183cm
Weight: 77kg
Player Comparison: A Poor Man's Chris Judd
Recruited From: Calder Cannons U18s
O'Rourke missed the majority of the 2011 season but showed us just how good he could be in 2012. He is explosive and quick, and would be a great pickup for Melbourne. He is equally good as an inside and outside midfielder. He is always in for the hard ball, and a great user of the ball. Terrific decision maker under pressure, he would be one of the more reliable players for the Demons, along with Nate Jones.

Range: Pick 2-10

Yep! Do it how you want Dosser. I'm enjoying it!

I like this method and it would be good if some of the more knowledgeable posters can add their thoughts on each selection before Dosser puts up the next one. Could become a very comprehensive mock if it gets rolling that way.

Let the whiners can move on so the guy can do his work. I don't want to read your tripe between each entry.

Nearly 2 weeks gone and no further additions to the phantom draft

If dosser11 had continued I'd have considered he was all about boosting his post count

Now I'm guessing he's just tired?

Be fair. I think he's firing up again on November the 23rd.

Reckon it will go well...............just wait and see.
