Can people stop saying the "this person" finished the beep test! honestly you sound very very silly saying this without anything to back it up okay?

It goes to level 23 there has never been any tested player in any sport or code to make 20's let alone finish it.

David Beckem finshed it
Micheal Jordan finished it
Stuart Dew finished is as well did he?

sounds easy as.

i wont quote it as gospel, but my exercise physiol lecturer at uni seemed to be pretty confident that Lance Armstrong may have completed it.

i think there may have been another couple that have gone high 22's as well.

again not gospel, but he seemed pretty confident and backed it up with some decent physiological analysis on what it did to their bodies as well.

Apparently Beckham and Lance are two of the very few to complete the beep/bleep test - source:

I seriously cant swallow that someone has finished it. All I have seen is one site saying yes Beckham and Armstrong did it without so much as a where and when and in what circumstances it was achived. The best Ive heard is 17.0 by a middle distance runner named sebastian coe world record holder apparently never heard of him myself. Also that fijian rugby player Kini Qereqeretabau achived a 17.1 in Jan 2007. If a middle distance runner can only achieve a 17.0 I doubt very much that a soccer player could achive so higher result.

Seriously ! wow what did he run? The kid is a massive gun should of got a run earlier in the season!

Not sure of the actual figure but I think it was Jamie Charman who said it a post-match interview that Dazzle had beaten Blacky's legendary beep-test record.

Watching Dalziell play, its not hard to believe. He spends an enourmous amount of time on ground, and racks up his disposals consistently across the 4 quarters. Runs just as hard in the 4th as he does in the first.

at risk of sounding rude, if you dont know who sebastian coe is, then i'm fairly certain you dont know too much about the fitness side of things, so you knowledge of athletes that could be capable of completing the test is not surprising.

sebastian coe was a runner in the 70's and 80's so if you look at the record from then, most if not all have been eclipsed, so although the best at the time, compared to now, there would be a lot that can surpass him.

i'm guessing your scepticism comes from reading a site like top end sports? not the most accurate or well informed.

i've run a few beep tests in my life
and to finish the test is completely insane
to get to level 20 or such would be doing a 20m sprint each time
and by that level you would be soo knackered you wouldnt be able to
the highest i've ever witnessed anyone go is 16.0 and that was a mammoth effort

No way Beckham would get to 20/21 - would be around 14-15 at his best - not noted for his gut running prowess at all, and thoroughly doubt he could better than a professional runner (even if it was in the 70s/80s), Seb Coe.

never heard of sebastian coe? he's one of the worlds most famous runners of all time. was an olympian in the 80s - won a big event (think 1500m) in LA from memory.

Forrest Gump also completed the beep test and just kept running.

That can't be right.

24.67/7 = 3.52s average for 30m! The fastest 30m split I've seen from a professional 100m sprinter (Mo Greene) is around 3.6s
Im digging into the archives here, but thats surely not right. I did a 30m sprint in 3.6 seconds even only 2 weeks ago, I know Im a ****in quick ****, but surely Im not as quick as the pro's, not yet anyways.
