Yes Dawes....very highly regarded....but with 2 major injuries we just can't carry a third can we?.....even though he would never play in 07 anyway??

Yes the quantity of talls really gives us a chance to unearth some talent for the future .....#14 will probably be know to us all at draft time, but the second tall well that's what's really exciting me

We will of course still take a midfielder at some point in the draft and the SANFL should really help the AFC either late in the draft, the PS or rookie draft

I do not think we will, but it would be a risk I would be prepared to take if he was still there after our first three picks. I am hoping and assuming we will have more than three picks under 50 after tradsiing some of our players who are "stocking fillers" atm.

He could be another gem if we could get him at this price - as he would be unlikiley to play AFL in 2007 anyway.

The problem is the other two ACL victims. We may not wish to go out onto a limb.

Bloody hell, not another one.
They're twins that are KPP (Nathan and Mitch Brown) . J Brown has a brother is a midfielder IIRC that plays for the Falcons in U18 called Tim Brown. He's apparently too slow but has a good footy brain. Browns... How many do we want.. expecially Nathan's.

Does anyone know anything about Simon Hogan, Nathan Djerrkina or Clint Benjamin whose draft camp figures were quite good.

Doesn't always mean much but in 2004 camp the best overall prospects , outside the obvious standout selections were, IMO, Danyle Pearce, Nathan Van Berlo and Chris Knights.

I'm just wondering, I noticed in the 20m sprint, the fastest time recorded was 2.83.

Say if A. Davey & C. Judd along with A. McLeod would be able to run this sprint in R1, when they are fully fit.
What sorta times will they record?

Would they go faster? This has always intruiged me, do the young kids fair better at the 17-18 age range OR are they faster when coming into the AFL?

Macca would probably have slowed a bit in his age, Davey and Judd may be close to their draft camp times (did davey go? Judd didn't as he was recovering from shoulder operations). I'd suspect they'd be slower though, as as they are probably a bit heavier now than they were in their late teens

They would be faster. Justin Blumfield did his own testing to show his worth and he ran like 2.8 seconds for 20m.. Blumfield doesn't even look that fast. At AFL there would probably be a few that would run 2.7 seconds easy. Btw the fast recorded time was Pearce who ran 2.79 at dramp camp. At state screaning Moran who is a ruckman (200+ cm and 100kg +) ran 2.78:eek:. Freaky. Judd ran like 2.9 or something but he'd probably be a lot faster now. He also had an injury or something.
