This is very true, and it goes to show that while I do think Sharp has done excellently in his league games, that I really do have some genuine concerns for what he turns out as at the next level. I posted a few weeks ago a comparison of Sharp and Dev's u18 stats. If he turned out like that (not to say he will) people would absolutely melt and berate the club for years to come. I just don't think he has enough of a POD on our current squad to justfiy picking him with 2. He would be my first pick if we slide back and CDT wasn't available 90% of the time however. Think this is also an example of people severely doubting Dev. Very bullish on how he turns out out west

Dev doesn't have Sharp's hands or footwork though

Who do we need most in our team. CDT or Sharp ? We need to pick up Sharp and 2 more hard at it contested midfielders.
We've got enough tall forwards at the moment and a couple of those can be part time ruck men.
We also have enough small forwards as well.

To those disappointed by us seemingly disappointed we're not picking up Sharp tonight:

You lot need to pull yourselves up by your jockstraps(I think that's how the saying goes?...) and get on board with the high talent we're bringing in.

You'll get over it come preseason.

I came to terms with CDT at 2 a couple of weeks ago. Of course I want to see him do well. Seems like a good kid with high upside.

I still hold out a slight hope that we trade up from 13 to get Sharp if he slides a bit. To come out of the draft with Duursma, CDT and Sharp would be massive for the club. Looks unlikely though

Whatever comes out of draft we will have highly likely got at least 2 good prospects and made a few other clubs pay a fair cost with bids considering they get a 10% discount for the privledge.

I would love us to get Jacob Farrow, somehow, but can't see it eventuating.

Need a big slide for it to happen, like happened for Bo Allan last year.

Not impossible, as Cal did have the Dees doing for Allan last year, now theyre apparently keen on Farrow

As bad as some people's opinions on here are, in the comments on the club's facebook post yesterday about the draft some guy was absolutely begging the club to take Curtin with pick 13 because the otherwise the Crows will snap him up at the earliest possibility.

I'm hopeful we can get him with pick one.*

Want Essendon's F1 in any trade for 2, e.g. 2 and F2 for 5 and F1.

Would give us two top five picks this year and next.

Can't see Essendon giving up their F1 for anything though. If anything they'll be looking to trade the F1 next year into the 2027 draft to ensure they can get Bewick.

13 is too early but I think he's going to go much earlier than people expect. Anywhere from late first round to early 2nd wouldn't surprise me.
