Looks like both WW and I were wrong on Burton.

lol you don't know that they will pass them, people are linking him to mostly because he's a south australian, and of course there is some doubt, it's about weighing up the risk, even if we pick him there will be still be questions marks. To say there is no doubt is ridiculous.
Agreed!!!! May not even be on the radar

There's a part of me that wants milera at 9 and AhChee at 13.
Would luv to see the crows become one of the most exciting, quick teams in the league.
I think these 2 players will add to the squad we currently have.

1 but not both imo, we've added speed through the trade. I guess it would depend on what's there, but I think that Oliver would be there at one of our picks, if others like Francis and Mckay are gone.

Haha, imagine that. We'd go from slow plodders to a devastatingly quick team. Literally speed all over the park and on the bench. I wonder who's idea it was to get speed? Guessing Walsh wanted it badly, hence the meeting mid year with Roo and co to discuss next years strategy.
I mean literally Stevie Wonder would be able to see that we needed pace in the side.

The last couple of years has reminded me that ' Quickness ' in AFL is sort of like a cheat in a computer game, if you have speed you can get away with a LOT of things in the AFL.

Well drilled players with speed will allow us to close down space very well. Just having knight and Cameron in the forward line made a massive difference. Imagine that all over the field.

Skippos, i remember reading that you had huge wraps on Aigus (bar being incredibly lazy), so is he a chance for a rookie spot?

Tucker. People are saying he's fast but I wanted to know just how fast. He's not top 10 for sprints or repeat sprints at the combine but I assume he's not far behind?

Brodie Smith type fast, line breaking fast, in fact IMO the player type he most resembles in the AFL currently is Brodie Smith right down to the lethal left boot.

I'm sold.

I know your one of our supporters that shows a keen interest in young talent, I'll give you a name to follow over the next 12 months with an eye to the 2017 draft in Jarrod Berry, another Ballarat Rebel from the same junior club as Tucker the Horsham Saints and is showing all the hallmarks of being an exceptional footballer.

Seedsman, Hampton and Wigg could all only be half backs so yeah we could use another! So in your reasoning don't take Milera because he may develop into a mid and not just a forward? Yeah, nice argument.
Plus, whilst I like Seedsman & Hampton, they aren't proven best 22 yet so it's still a bit hard to assess.

This Years TAC Cup Team Of The Year contains quite a few players being touted as AFC draft prospects..

Because every time he jumps up a level he plays better , ie the better the standard the better he plays ....his best game all year was in an academy game ( Australia U18) vs a VFL side and his next best game was in his wafl debut where he was a match winner

In terms of this year's draft there ain't many with the kind of ability to be able to do that

Sure he had a quiet carnival in U18s but WA were awful and he was playing predominantly forward

He also seems a very solid character , humble , smart and respectful

He has the talent to be more than just a forward in the right system with good coaching ...speed , skill level , match winning ability which I think we need a bit of - guys that raise a level when the stakes are high ( to help us win games like the freo and hawthorn games we lost at home)
Sounds like a type of player who could really add to any team, let alone ours. I hope he can push into the midfield too, and it sounds like he can with that skill set. I think he's just shot up my power rankings.

If we got Francis and Ah Chee, I'd be droolin.

So long as no one associated in any way, shape and/or form with the Cleveland Browns (now or in the last 30 years) is consulting and/or helping in any manner with our selections at 9 and 13, I am good. :thumbsu:
