There's a part of me that wants milera at 9 and AhChee at 13.
Would luv to see the crows become one of the most exciting, quick teams in the league.
I think these 2 players will add to the squad we currently have.
id love to see that too. We would draft 1 :hopefully milera, but cant see us drafting both. I still think ah chee is a reach at 13. Still think we have better options for the makeup of our squad.

Didn't Ah Chee have a pretty terrible year?

Kieren Collins
Harry McKay
Callum Ah Chee
Harley Balic
Ryan Clarke
Luke Partington
Rhys Mathesion
Mitchell Hibberd

At u18 level was underwhelming, but was much better when in the seniors in the wafl
I would be happy with him at our pick 13. He is the best talent out of WA this year. If we get Milera then we wont need him, but if we miss him, which is getting more likely it would appear, then he would be a good get. He is alot better than his brother.

Hoped we can rookie list him. He was very good in the TAC Grand Final.

I can't believe that people are still high on Burton given how bad his knee injury has been and how it even limits him now (e.g. didn't do the beep test because of running on a had surface). Not to mention that he has not played football in almost 2 years and had no contact training. No one knows how the knee will pull up after a game of football. It's a massive risk to take with pick 13 in the draft for a team that has not had a 1st and 2nd round picks for two years running (yes I know M. Crouch was a second rounder but we long Bernie Vince to get that pick....again a net loss).

Burton's knee will give him issues throughout his career. It might impact his ability to reach his potential as it did with Hentschel but even if he ends up playing AFL football, his longevity in the game will not be great. That knee will see his career cut short.

For someone like Hawthorn or Freo it's a risk worth taking. For us, I don't think it is. Pick up two healthy kids with some upside and develop them into very good players. If Burton goes on to becomes a superstar at another club, I can live with that because the reasoning for not taking him from our part are very reasonable and sound.

Can I get an "Amen"?!

I know your one of our supporters that shows a keen interest in young talent, I'll give you a name to follow over the next 12 months with an eye to the 2017 draft in Jarrod Berry, another Ballarat Rebel from the same junior club as Tucker the Horsham Saints and is showing all the hallmarks of being an exceptional footballer.

I'll take your Berry and raise you a Steven Slimming. Could be top 10 next year. Gun.

Really agree with this. At 9 & 13 the risk is just too high. We want 10 year players with one of them hopefully reaching elite status. Burton might get to elite, but as you said, it won't be for long.

So long as no one associated in any way, shape and/or form with the Cleveland Browns (now or in the last 30 years) is consulting and/or helping in any manner with our selections at 9 and 13, I am good. :thumbsu:

So you don't rate the Cleveland Browns very highly?

I love them and I attend the games like the ever loyal fan that I am. Win/Lose/Rain/Sun/Snow/Sleet.

With that in mind...I assure you that I stand by my post above and let us all hope and pray no one from the Adelaide Footy Club decision making staff ever comes in contact with anyone that has had anything to do with Browns selections in the last 30 years. :thumbsu:

Darryl Phillips from the 36ers and Boomers?

I think you've just invented someone who doesn't exist...

Darryl Pearce is likely who you're referring to. Can't see him him being Tom Phillips' dad though...

I pay zero attention to the prospects but I keep seeing Francis as a name bandied about. Anyone want to give me the cliff notes version as to why we want him?
