Early 12's I think

Can someone let me know if Anderson said anything about us in his interview? Cheers :)
Because it was on Melbourne Radio .....more talk about Essendon & Melbourne;s picks .....and local vic lads

Still very interesting because what happens at #3, 4, &5 impacts us directly

Still believe Milera will be gone by #9 ........Francis discussion of being available at #9 has me shaking my head?

In simple terms, mj needs to give up alcohol if he is serious about afl.

This should apply to anyone who can't handle alcohol well.
Or bright enough to be able to see the situation he's in .......somehow he reminds me of Bruce Linder ....THICK AS A BRICK

Do you know Bruce Linder? Because mate of mine is very good friends with him and I've never heard him described like that

Thinking it's less and less likely Francis will slide now... Milera, on the other hand, is IMO our most likely pick now

Interested in Hibberd or Burton? My concern with Hibberd is we reach for him because Hamish gets a hard on for Tasmanians.
Trust me, Hibberd at 13 is not a reach. He is very good, and has a combination of skills which are very much needs for us (speed, kicking, contested marking).

He
On the players time off Grigg didn't go away, he stayed and worked as a Landscaper. Gotta admire that really. I think he'll lift this year and give it a good nudge.
went to Bali with all the other young lads?

Pick 9 is Milera, Francis or McKay. It's a virtual certainty now that at least one of these 3 is available and it's blatant that we'll select them. If they're all gone (they won't be), we'll take Weideman, Curnow, Oliver or whoever inexplicably drops as a result.

Pick 13 is one of the above if magically available, or Burton, Tucker or Balic. I think the only way anyone else comes into the frame at 13 is if a) we select Milera at 9, and b) all 3 of Burton, Francis and H McKay are off the board. We'd then be looking at a Mathieson, Hibberd, Gresham or whoever the club is into out of those other types (it won't be another outside mid).

Logical pairings:
Milera / Burton
Francis / Tucker
Francis / Balic
McKay / Tucker
McKay / Balic

Dream pairing:
Milera / Francis (I don't care which order we select them in!)

My personal worst case scenario:
McKay / Balic (fully aware that both of these guys have their fans, but I'm not among them and I'll be avoiding BF for a month if we grab them BOTH)

Pretty difficult to get a read on exactly what will be available to us, but my best guess at this stage is that we jag Milera at 9 and Burton at 13.
I reckon we will surprise and go for Ryan Clarke with our second pick
I agree with you about the choice for our first pick and am hoping Francis will be still there.

I am no expert but his kicks in the highlights package are not great. I will trust the recruiting team because their record is great recently.

Yeah I'm no expert on any of the kids actual strengths/weaknesses other than the odd highlight video. It looks as though Balic doesn't have the most natural looking kick.

A mate has just offered me a ticket to the draft. I thought I had no chance of getting tickets. All the stars may just align and we draft Milera and Francis - 2 SA guns.

Weideman did some testing and doesn't seem the results were great. 12.4 beep and 3.20 for 20m. Happy to take Curnow at 3. Then hope Parish or Oliver slide to 7. Parish unlikely but has been word from Brett Anderson is Parish could slide to 7.

so it's just his work ethic and not his fitness base that's an issue then?
Grigg was going fine until he bounced out of the team.

Shame it went that way but I certainly understand the coaches losing faith in him if it's true that he hurt himself irresponsibly then lied about it.

Siggins, Osborn, Greenwood. Not sure if Callinan counts.

2 cat b rookies and a pick 61. So you're worried Ogilvie will use a first round pick just because he's a tasmanian? I'm seeing it, if we get him it will be because they believe he is best available.

Weid tanking?
Nah ....good result guarantees him a Melbourne club picks him ....poor result could see an interstate team draft him?
