I reckon there is a kid in this draft Ryan Clarke that is so much like Rory Sloane it's not funny, absolutely the best gut runner in this draft, probably a bit quicker than Rory, good balance of inside/outside midfield work, hits the scoreboard regularly for a mid, perhaps his only little knock is his kicking whilst not bad can be a little inconsistent. Really, really like the fact just like Rory he's a tackling machine and a two way runner. Won't be at all disappointed if we are giving him consideration for pick 13.
Literally carried the Eastern Ranges into a grand final. Im thinking more Jack Steven for playing style.

Sorry but we just have to stay away from players with suspect kicking

Bit annoying to hear that our picks 9 and 13 will effectively be 12 and 16 after likely academy picks but not much we can do about that!

Actually, I think it's more the case that at one stage we had effectively picks 7 and 11 when GWS had picks 7 and 8 since (you would hope) some of the clubs with earlier picks would have bid on their academees so GWS have to use those picks on them.

But now that those picks have gone to Melb & Carl, we're back to picks 9 and 11 for real.

Nah ....not a chance ...any money you like

Elite kicks for adelaide to draft: Bonner, Hibberd, Tucker, Ah Chee and Milera in order
No more pure outsiders .....chock a block quota full

If they can't win their own ball we won't draft them .....that cuts a few out of your list

If GWS hadn't traded out of the top 10 ...we would have been 1 live pick closer

I understand Hibberd is highly rated but are there question marks over his endurance ?
No, the only slight question mark is his durability which in the AFL system with our medical and physio staff you would think we'd be able to straighten out.

Any recommendations for which mock drafts on BF are generally the most accurate/reliable with their player analysis? Thanks :)

I might be the only one, but i see so much of a young James Hird in Ryan Burton.
Very athletic young player. Third tall forward floating type. Think after a few pre seasons his natural athleticism could see him develop into a big bodied mid in the Hird/Fyfe mold.

Must get at 13 for me

Uurrrgh! Did you have to draw that comparison, I liked the sound of getting Burton. Sure, Hird could play, but I never liked that guy.

I don't think Carlton will pass up Burton twice, and I am thinking Blues will take Milera at 8 if still there. Crows will need to take Burton at 9 if they want him.

Knightmare's is probably the gold standard but they all tend to magically match Emma Quayle's by draft day

They're hardly elite defenders though.... Carlisle could be at a stretch but he is also sub 200.

Similarly, the most dominant over 200cm forward is Paul Salmon. Next best would be Tippett. After that it doesnt really read as the who's who of forwards. Tallness up forward seems to be more for 'structure' and making a contest then for any other reason.
Rory Thompson not elite? Harsh.

Basically not on anyones radar .....has ONE good game

What happened to the two - three years tracking ......call BS
The fact that he was playing in that game meant that he was most definitely on the radar. Missed most of the season through injury but still picked for All-star junior game, the fact that he played well just put him back to where he was before the foot injury.

I think we are going to go with elite kicking as a priority and there are a few lefties there too.

Would love Francis, but I did like watching Bonners left kick. Still love Oliver! Can't get enough of his playing style, good replacement in the middle for "somebody we used to know.... " Actually reminds me a bit of Wines (dare I say it). I think he will be a gun.

Justin Reid mentioned that we may still have to cut 2-3 players and there are still a couple out of contract. Apart from Wright (about to walk the green mile), who else is out of contract?

So ....same as what i said .....his draft position all based on one game
