Are you taking the piss? It's the fact that he was a crows supporter but switched while his dad was our runner that is concerning. I have an issue with people who switch football teams for the most recent premier.

I'm not sure we are 100% confident on his knee even if we take him with pick 13. He was a top 3 player on talent last year. We could get a bargain if his knee turns out ok. We might have to gamble that it's going to be ok, the price being that we only have to use pick 13 instead of pick 3. So we may say, "we think there's a 95% chance he'll be fine, but we're prepared to take the risk as pick 13 is a bargain if he turns out as good as he can be."Stiffy .....we have the BEST intel on Burton ......Liptak his surgeon, Physio's from North Adelaide
If any club has the "inside" knowledge on Burton it'll be the Crows
There will not be any risk ......if we take him, then the club is 100% confident in his body
It'll be clear who we take at #13 how the club feels about his injury ......IMO Burton at 13 is ours to pass up
West AdelaideIf it's a choice of a 95% Burton & other equivalent rated players .......the club won't roll the dice unless they're 110% confident in a 100% recovery ......they simply don't have to take a risk at #13I'm not sure we are 100% confident on his knee even if we take him with pick 13. West AdelaideWhy .......Menzel will be twice the player WE MAY get at 28 .......strong chance of a big fail at that position in the draftI'm happy with Seedsman and Menzel. But a part of me wishes we had picks 28 and 32 going into the draft.
It would be interesting to see what players we would have been discussing around that mark.
West AdelaideAt which draft pick were you talking about ? ......9?Brett Anderson's reply from my tweet yesterday
At which draft pick were you talking about ? ......9?
No way Milera is there at #13![]()
West AdelaideJeff mate get of the Collins train .......WILL NOT HAPPEN !!!!!!!!!!Collins would be a v safe pick at 13....would be like having a young rutten to partner talia with lever as our josh Gibson
The mids available at 13 would be far more speculative and Burton even more speculative
Best option would be Francis and milera but that would be unlikely , next best would be McKay and milera / Oliver / hibberd / tucker
But if we miss McKay and Francis at 9 then I'm happy with Collins at 13, a v safe pick and ready to play next year
I believe he also said that Carlton wanted the priority pick to take Weideman. They may rate him higher than McKay at 8 if both are available.
Why .......Menzel will be twice the player WE MAY get at 28 .......strong chance of a big fail at that position in the draft
Gee i thought people two years ago would have pants down around the table to get Menzel ......now you're questioning whether we should have gambled with 28?? ..........shakes head
West AdelaideSorry i got confused with the conversation/??added the rest of tweets

Where do you see him going then? Essendon?SOS is a fan of Weideman.
We tried dealing with GC on the final day of Trade Week to upgrade our Pick 11 into Pick 6 (in a deal involving Everitt) for this reason.
Our brains trust know from around the traps that he will be gone by the time our Pick #8 rolls around.
West AdelaideCompared to Menzel ......nothing by comparisonNot at all. It's purely for draft discussion. I am just interested to see what players we would have been looking at if those trades didn't take place for whatever reason.
No doubt in my mind.Where do you see him going then? Essendon?
West AdelaideDon't discount Melbourne eitherWhere do you see him going then? Essendon?
Or maybe gold coast didnt want to trade pick 6 because their into him ..SOS is a fan of Weideman.

Francis at 9 ?? Yes please !!! Francis and Burton would be massive gets talent wise but are both tweener height. Is that of concern as we do need midfield speed and a KPF ??
Sorry i got confused with the conversation/??
1. When you posted this tweet who were you referring to overlooking at #9 ....Francis?
2. Any reason for Callums inferred sliding to 9?
3. Who are clubs worried about "go home " factor and why?
Sorry for all the questions![]()
Brett Anderson's reply from my tweet yesterday
When is Geelongs first pick?
![]()
West AdelaideWhy firstly is Francis sliding ......and why would we take Milera over FrancisYeah Brett thinks Francis will slide to our pick but we could select Milera instead if available.
Cal hasn't replied sorry
