If Ryan gives his approval he can tell us.
Correct ....as the medical is for a future employer, as long as permission is given, and it will have been

Getting excited people .....hard to concentrate on work today ......ah well there's always tomorrow :)

Don't think KPF is a big enough need to justify two investments unless we saw both as potential midfielders, which there is scope for.

I think we either go tall small or dual small. Tall and Collins an outside shot.
Enjoyed your updated Phantom ......didn't follow others like a sheep, but was still realistic

I'm with you re Milera to GC .....just can't see Ah Chee that high

I would have thought both Curnow and Burton were too similar in terms of potential roles ? .....your thoughts?

It appears Burton has been given the all clear on the leg

Player (preexisting) injury risk list based on google results for players. Shows there are very few players that don't carry some risk, and many of these are considered for the first round.

You could, with the appropriate expertise, scale these ratings with a medical understanding of the injury themselves, but that would require detail unavailable to me. Certainly I would be thinking any young player who has undertaken invasive surgery and has pins etc. inserted would scale up, like Tucker.

Makes you think a little differently when you see just how many of these young players have had significant injuries.

Happy for people to build or add to the list if they have more info. enjoy

Mitch Hibberd
Hibberd isn't quite as physically developed as some of the other prospects in the pool. At the end of 2013 the Tasmanian prospect had a knee reconstruction and just as he was returning to action he required a shoulder reconstruction. Overage due to injuries. 18 months Very High

Ryan Burton Tibial plateau fracture. The kneecap had been dislocated, the tibia shattered and there was ligament and cartilage damage. The break is to one of the most critical load-bearing areas in the human body, just below the knee, affects knee alignment, stability and motion. Inserted a metal plate and 10 screws into Burton’s leg to hold it together. Developed patella tendinitis during rehab. Has had three screws removed from his rebuilt leg but the other seven and plate will remain embedded forever. 18 Months Very High

Jacob Hopper Several injury-prone years; torn cartilage injury left knee - surgery, broken hand, torn cartilage injury right knee - surgery, Groin 12 months+ High

Callum Ah Chee Had a serious ankle injury last year that ruled him out for more than six months and took a long time to get right. Three torn ligaments, Ah Chee also fractured his foot, and was in a moonboot for eight weeks. 6 months+ medium

Harley Balic Wrist Surgery - scaphoid - difficuilt bone to heal. 6 months? medium

Callum Mills Stress reaction in his left shin, foot and hamstring injuries 6 months medium

Sam Wiedeman Reoccuring Ankle stress fracture and bone spurring. Related to identified iron deficiency. 6 months+ medium

Josh Dunkely Back stress fracture & foot issue 6 months medium

Darcy Tucker Ligament damage in his ankle was more significant than they first thought. He underwent surgery, had two bolts screwed between his tibia and fibula bones to stabilise the area and was told he probably wouldn't get back to feeling normal on the ground for 12 months. 6 Months+ medium

Matthew Kennedy Hurting his knee - dislocated knee. Scans on Kennedy’s knee revealed the injury is a lot worse than originally expected. Kennedy has torn his medial ligament. It’s not an ACL. 3 months Low

Charlie Curnow A dislocated kneecap ruled him out of action for three months, including the mid-year NAB AFL Under-18 Championships with Vic Country. Although at stages it appeared he would not return as opinions swung on the damage sustained in the injury, Curnow came back for the Falcons' final five games of the season and impressed. 3 months Low

Riley Bonner Sustained a season-ending foot injury in the final minor series against Port. Bonner tore the lisfranc ligaments in his right foot and while he avoided surgery he wore a moon boot for six weeks and only started running again last week. 3 months? Low

Clayton Oliver Experienced a bout of osteitis pubis No preseason (not sure how many weeks) Low

Aaron Francis Groin soreness. Couple weeks Very Low

Darcy Parish Darcy Parish missed the first two rounds with a broken thumb. Couple weeks Very Low

Josh Schache Toe Very Low

Wayne Milera Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome - cardiac abnormalities - increased heartbeat through an extra electrical pathway inside the heart, meaning there isn't a big enough break between beats. Had a catheter ablation - Keyhole surgery through a vein in his groin and burnt out the electrical pathway. 1 week Very Low

Rhys Mathieson Quad Injury. Couple weeks Very Low

Riley Bonner got invited too.
Dont read too much into it

Yeah that definitely changes it a bit. Bonner is likely to go somewhere in the 15-25 range, so no chance of a stage invite. I'm guessing we are inviting the SA boys we know for certain will be drafted.

Maybe. Depends on how he develops this year. You only have to come up with big points if the kid is genuinely top-10 material. You still have to pay after that, but the points are much lower.

I have yet to read anything indicating that Ben Jarman is a top-10 talent.

I hope we get him if only to finally break our F-S cherry. Kid has had a reasonable footy coach growing up

People saying that burton would be top 2 or top 3 of this draft easily without the injury are probably getting ahead of themselves ( it's possible but also possible he would have ended up having a year like an Ah Chee or a tucker)

That Burton one does not read well at all. Even if the knee/leg injury holds up, it is likely there will be other injuries as a consequence such as hip, feet, groin injuries.

Really hoping Carlton take him with pick 9 and we get Milera or McKay. Too big a risk.

Same was said about James Sellar being a #1 at the start of his draft year

Kind of pointless playing games with the crows. They have their list it ain't changing, so piss off silvagni.
Correct ......they'll just take the next on their list

If it is in fact between Milera and Curnow ......if it's line ball they'll go homeground, if Curnow is the best player, they'll take him no dramas

Are Francis and Milera good mates? I'll hate it if Essendon pick both of them to mitigate some of the go home factor.
That won't be given a seconds thought ...trust me

Don't waste your time trying to teach me what i already know .......try actually reading the posts and understanding where i was JOKINGLY coming from

The bidding system aint Rubic's Cube Vader ......the post was a satirical look at the actions of the 3 clubs

Geesus ....lighten up man .....do you ever share a joke or have a laugh??????????
It might help if your post actually contained some humour, or some indication that you weren't being serious. Emoticons, or something similar, might help. I'm not a mind reader.

Boys, I'm around now with an updated phantom and power rankings - http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/skipposs-2015-draft-resource.1097140/

Shit is finally together. If you've got any questions tomorrow, I'll answer during the day or from the draft; just quote this (or one of my) posts.

Cheers.
Great job as always mate ;)

Hey what are the chances of Parish slipping to us? If Essendon want a top end tall they may take Weideman so it doesn't seem beyond possibility...

I find it really hard to imagine Essendon overlooking KPPs.

Their first two selections last year were 190cm players, they're rumoured to be taking a 190cm and 180cm this year and next years draft is mid heavy.
