Draft whispers, rumours & scuttlebut

Depends who you say the decent team is.
If you mean hawthorn or a Richmond fair enough.
Adelaide have lost their superstar and will struggle to maintain their position I reckon.

Nah.

Our team is young and improving. Losing one midfielder isn't a big deal as they're very replaceable, especially when they turn the ball over as often as Dangerfield.

It's interesting how rarely the media phantoms have Francis linked to Essendon. He seems a no brainer.

Seriously is this just a running joke Crows supporters are using to deal with losing Danger?
Yes and no. He's a top 3 player in the AFL in most books. He does spray the ball by foot - at times it is awful. If he didn't he would be THE best player in the AFL right now.

So yes - it is a coping mechanism. We would all have loved to have kept him.
And no - he actually does spray it quite a bit. Rarely kicks it to a target in the F50 with any sort of efficiency.

Heard Francis wants to stay in S.A from that what what you will.

Milera the same as above.

What's a cats fan doing in a draft thread?

How about you bugger off and we'll give you a yell when pick 50 comes around.

Let me whip down to the chemist. Get you one of those arse gaskets for you to sit on.
Seems you are still a bit hurt "down there" after the PD thing..

Makes you cranky when you post.

And yes, we'll be happy to slide into our picks around the 50's. Looking forward to Wells finding another Gregson type from SA that your blokes don't rate and then get bitter about him doing well.

Reminds me of how Dayne Beams' defensive work suddenly became the fatal flaw that would prevent him from ever being an elite player oh say around this same time last year.

Just one? Don't you need half a dozen...

What is happening at the Lions is purely internal and nothing to do with "go home" factor. It may be thrown around as a reason but there is something fundamentally broken at the Lions that needs to get resolved.

Now let's get back to the thread at hand.

Boak , Gray , carlile , Trengove , butcher , pittard , Oshea have all been made offers to go play back in their home states. They all decided to stay. Lions should worry less about where players are from and worry about fixing what's wrong behind the scenes. Then players will stay and want to play for them.

Agreed

And it's Beautiful Brisbane vs Adelaide as well. I love Adelaide but it's not in same league of beautiful cities with the perfect climate that Brisbane is

Unfortunately Port didn't really want to keep Butcher, Pittard or Oshea though.... :p:D

A few have curnow being taken at 3, and essendon going for parish with 4 and then jumping on weid at 5.
Think you'll find Parish ends up at Melb with their first pick. They want the best mid outside the academy mids that's why they did the trade with GC to get the pick before Essendon who would have picked him as well.
