Steve Johnson to snap his leg off in the game against Gold Coast in round 15.

My ovaries feel left out.....

However in the spirit of reproductive predictions. Al Bundy to win the Brownlow.

Ovaries on the block didn't have the same ring to it Beth....and besides women have an advantage! How many male crystal ball readers do you see??

Nevertheless, if Bundy wins the Brownlow the block is yours to do with it as you wish!!

Biggest AFL story in 2012 will be Damien Hardwick sacked with 6 rounds remaining after another lamentable season -and Neil Balme to go in as Richmond President in 2013 -you heard it first here

The judges are impressed with the courage of this prediction. Great work!

David the Cat to learn how to spell "Billy" Smedts christian-name properly before he wins the rising star award?

Being grammar school educated I should have said " William" ....but Billie was a step too far....

Damn yanks.

that's your interpretation Dave. By necessity, Saints will have to play Markworth, which is exactly what they lack, while our youngsters may not even get a chance next year. We have done well with our picks, no doubt, but many thought #35 would be top 16 or better.

And I had to include something about Saints, did I not?. Good thread btw. Feeling quite optimistic about Geelong next year, and if some of these predictions eventuate, we're in for a pearler.

I see blood on the block:eek:

Listening to and reading reports about Orren, he could well be THE find of the draft. NM fans highly rate him , and he's absolutely ready to go. What we've done is gone from Ottens to OrrenS. Hopefully, the transition will be that smooth.

tommahawk will open a chip shop
Stokes will give up his number so Jed Bews can wear it
Gillies will end up a Hawk
Ling will get plastic surgery for TV.
Bartel to win the Carji
Scarlo wont retire he will go another season
Pods will begin to take a back seat to the new Tommahawk.
Varcoe will continue to squib and then astound, squib then astound, it's just him.

YPO says Simpson to be the next Mark Blake.

VD says Simpson to play 16 games and be a weapon....

Judges need clarification....does this mean you agree??

yep,we agree, if YPO says 16 is the next 24, it can only mean that 16 gets to play 99 games, so at least 95 more than he has, and of course, the compulsory premiership, which if he's a weapon next year, could be 2012. So that constitutes agreement in my book.
Or does he mean that big Dawson will be the last man standing and will carry the rucks while Orren or whoever is injured, revealing resilience and durability?
Can't think of any other explanation or description that is accurate or appropriate, what about you Judge ?

- Cats supporters reappraise how far progressed Nathan Vardy is in his development after a series of indifference performances (I'm not denying he's a super talent, but I think he's a long-term prospect)

- Tom Gillies is either delisted or traded at the end of the season

- Hawkins enjoys a break out year...probably 45-60 goals

- Cowan and Schroder display real promise as their AFL careers begin

- Mackie earns his first AA selection. Our only other representative in the team is Selwood, as Chris Scott continues to rotate heavily and performances are pretty even across the board

- Bartel wins B & F

- Varcoe continues to be a source of fan frustration, but come the end of the season, people are somewhat surprised to find he has set new personal bests for both disposals and goals

And people say you can't make a silk purse from a cows ear! Brilliant logic VD.....

But in the spirit of fair play the judges await YPO's take on this! There is some thought that he will apply a different slant to the argument...

Varcoe played HIS best game of 2011 on GF day, when apparently there is meant to be peak pressure, and had more last/4 disposals than most, and THAT goal. He really has nothing to prove, and if he continues exactly as he has, we have a gem. I suspect he will be even better with a preseason.
These TV comments are hardly Balls on the Block. What we see is what we get. Let's see a prediction that Selwood will really play hard next year.

All it means is that I chose my initials more carefully than Dubs.:D
I love this time of year. To be fair, I didn't choose any initials, they've been bestowed upon me by some, including the Grammar educated DtC, who should know that the abbreviated form of that name is V. In fact the dubs is W. Enough digression.

The judges in their wisdom ( which is of course beyond question ) have decided the protagonists do NOT agree......

So one will be right and one will be wrong.....thus one will be in the running for prediction of the year....

The judges smell a rat! How do you spell collusion?
