At work so I'm rush typing..ill slow down a bit and clarify.

Carr informed the club that his client was not happy about the new offer and listed the reasons why. He also leaked some of that to the HUN and other media mates.

Dad came to let hardwick and co know they Dusty and himself never told the press anything and it must have got out from his manager. So basically just reconfirm to the coaching group that Dusty wants to stay. The relationship between our club and Dusty and his dad is unique.

Its my impression from what I have been told. Carr has been given some pretty clear instructions now from the Dusty camp. So we should see the deal signed this week or next. I posted this late last week and now caro and robbo have both come out there is zero chance dusty is leaving. I recon they believe that because Carr probably told them he got chewed out by dustys dad lol. that last bit is a guess ( the dad chewing out bit lol )
If this is all true, wouldn't be surprised and hope that he finds himself a new manager in the not too distant future.
This Ralph Carr should stick to the entertainment industry, an industry that he understands, as I've heard a few times, the biggest problem with him is that he doesn't know anything about footy.

Doesn't know anything about footy clubs either... the loyalty, the sense of belonging and growing and succeeding together. He just focuses on the tangibles like $'s & time frames.

Entertainment industry is a whole lot more shallow and black and white... no inbetween.

I wonder how much commission/salary dusty's tosser of a manager Ralph Carr makes off him (not to mention Cloke, etc). Can't help but think these blokes would not be worse off financially for sacking their manager and dealing with club/receiving other offers directly. Would not be surprised if the extra 25-30k that Carr is haggling for is around his wage from dusty for the year. So, Dusty.... SACK HIM, take the small paycut but keep the money you would have otherwise paid this dirtbag and you don't end up any worse off, but the club ends up a whole lot better off :thumbsu: The club that has put itself out SO much to defend your name publicly, help you clean up your life up.. given you the undivided attention of probably the best mentor and bloke in Chocco Williams and putting you to live with Cotch so you would grow up a big quicker AT THE RISK of impacting the squeaky clean record and persona of our once in a generation leader.

Dusty.. can't you see that everyone at Tigerland and its millions of supporters all care about you, not your paycheck, YOU more than your dickhead manager?

Watch the last few seconds of this and take a leaf out of Jack's book:

Well considering I have put my neck out, extremely confident.

At the end of the day we are all tigers, I believe my source 100% so wanted to share it with my BF tiger brothers and sisters

And in one foul swoop have become everyone's favourite poster:D

Just on a side note, I can't believe that they are advertising on this site with a headline of "Relive the Passion - Have an Affair!" - just WOW. How do you explain that when the missus walks past and reads that when you are simply trying to discuss the current contractual status of Dusty - LOL

Cheers,
Well, the ads come from your browser history;)

This makes me feel a little better but until the signature is actually on the contract I, along with countless others no doubt, will be feeling rather anxious.

In the background I heard sam mitchell on he Sunday footy show talking about it.

Basically said its way above what he's earning and he hopes the club pays him a million cos then we can't keep our other players.

Guys like Ellis etc will have a 200-300k contract and imagine how they feel about it? Dusty isn't that much better than them, and off-field he's much worse (leadership and behaviour). So why would we pay Dusty so much?

We need to stay firm with our final offer and not increase our final offer. It will piss a lot of players off if we do.
I watched this as well and I don't think he said that this was way over what he's getting. He was coy on the figures but what I understood he meant was the asking price ie what they said was 600-700k was high and he was glad as that meant we couldn't keep all our players together. This is a little hypocritical considering buddy will take 1.2m from their tpp so I take that barb with a grain of salt. I did get the point tho and understand what he was on about.

Yer was kind of funny that we could have Jack & Dusty for the price of Buddy.

Oh I hear ya mate, just sharing what know is all.
Appreciate the information being shared. Hopefully it has the ending that we all want. However if it doesn't then I hope we're prepared to make what would be an unpopular decision and do what is best for the club

If Dusty wants $600k, that means he is only going to be getting $540k roughly after Ralph's commission (if I'm not mistaken).

So, why doesn't he get rid of ralph, sign for $550k, and he will earn himself 10k more than he would with Ralph? He gets more, the Club gets a better deal, everyone wins.
