News has it that Rosa and Armstrong are on standby.

So... it looks pretty certain Rosa and Armstrong will come in for Kerr and Hansen.

Why didn't they name Rosa in the 25 then and why are they dropping Sampi?

Both Kerr and Sampi out.

I don't know how true this is but if it is, there is a window of opportunity if ever I saw one.

I don't believe that we need their best side depleted to beat them but the easier the win, the fitter our team is ready for the finals.

If we win then again next week, that could set us up for a 5 week stint at home; that has got to be an advantage to us :thumbsu:

If Kerr is out it is a massive boost for us. Contain Cox and Judd and we would almost definately win. Cousins, Braun, Stenglein etc are good players but they have never hurt us in the way that Cox, Judd and Kerr can. With one of those 3 out our job becomes a lot easier.

Five games in a row at Subi would be a massive boost. The players have commented before that they feel really fresh after the 3 games at Subi, so 5 would be awesome. If we do play the mob up the road first week of the finals the winner would have to be premiership favourites. Both sides struggle after derbies, but the winner would get a week off and still play at Subi, almost guaranteeing a place on the 'g for the last Saturday in September.

I guess Sampi was pretty crap last week and they will probably play Chick up forward to keep the defensive pressure up.
Johnson v Hansen
Lynch v McPharlin
Staker v Grover
Chick v Parker
Seaby v Hayden

Spot the mismatch. You can see why Polak might be handy.

I reckon Hayden should go forward to match Wirrapanda.

So who goes out if Polly comes in? Hayden on Wirrpanda would be good to see. Roger can keep him quiet and likes to kick a goal himself now and again. Peake on Wirrpanda... :thumbsd:

Damn, someone spooted the weakness in my argument. I think the most likely would be Hasleby. Form wise he'd have to be the weakest in that 22 at the moment.

Forgot about Mundy.

IF they play Seaby, Staker, Lynch, Cox, and Chick forward, McPharlin will still outmark them all.

One thing we are not short, is talls in the backline.

Dunno why they'd play games with Sampi, it's not like he's a headache for us to match up on. Much rather Hayden to play off Sampi than someone like Chick.

And Dodd. Would be a mistake to think that extra talls would be more important than a good balanced team. Don't mind Polak getting run leading up to the finals though, to see how desperate he is to play. Has been okay at WAFL level some of my friends who go to Easts games claim.

CC on ABC said Medhurst and Webster wont be playing for their WAFL clubs today. I think tongue in he said " Polly wont be playing a hole game at East Freo, but dont tell Ken Judge" Nevertheless Polly is playing for East Fremantle today.
Make of what you will. My guess is Hazelby not playing Webster in.

Assuming Hansen plays, which he probably won't-
Hansen v Mundy or Dodd
Lynch v McPharlin
Staker v Parker
Chick v Grover
Seaby v Johnson
