Is anyone willing to write a match preview about this? Because I would really like to hear some. Maybe a preview of the key match-ups? I'll try to start it off.

After losing their first two games, both teams will be wanting to salvage some pride by winning the last game. On the otherhand, neither team will want injuries soming into rnd1 and are both likely to come into the match a bit 'soft'.

The eagles are bringing in Turnball, with an increase in ruck depth he will be wanting to prove his worth to the team, expect a big game from him. The youngsters and recruits will also be pressing for selection and so the game should be dominated by the lesser known players, rather than the stars.

The dual between Gardiner and Everitt looms as an interesting one, as does the one between the eagles new "rookie" wilson and between the Saints new full-back barry Hall. Two tough men up against each other, we might see the ground shake if they try to simultaneously hip-and-shoulder one another.

Sorry if i sound like a news reporter, but thats what i was aiming for

Hope some of you might add to this, whether the point of view is from the eagles perspective or the saints.

The Saints and Eagles will be eager for a win before the start of the season although both will come in understrenghted.

Jakovich Kemp Cousins and Braun were all possibilites for the game but once again were rested for the season. The only return is Turnball who i think is the key to the game.

If Turnball can play really well and limit the impact of Everitt then it will free up Gardiner to perhaps hold down CHF or a forward pocket. Gardiner can be dangerous up forward and needs to kick goals in the absense of Fletcher.

Fletcher has been the shining light in the Ansett Cup for the Eagles and his run will be sorely missed through the midfield. The game will be won and lost in the middle and without Kemp Cousins Braun and Fletcher the Eagles should struggle.

I can handle the fighting, its the affection i cant stand and i dont mind us talking just dont try to touch my hand.

yes i beleive gardiner should play at CHF, he is extremely talented, and although it would mean our ruck would only be average, i beleive Cox will develop into a very good ruckman, good enough to cover for gardiner eventually, with sierra and turnbull for support they could do OK for now.
