Ed Curnow - should be playing for us.

Lining up for the Tankers tonight. Unacceptable given our Box Hill affiliations.

Granted he's a one-paced midfielder and we don't necessarily need more of them, but somebody has to replace Mitchell in a few years time.

Pretty confident that if the club thought he was worth a shot he would have gotten one. Hopefully it means he has a poor attitude and will bring the Tankers down in some kind of scandal. They deserve nothing less!!

Ed has anything BUT a poor attitude - broke his leg badly during mid season last year and like always did everything to get himself right and eventually on the tank's rookie list and last week was elevated.

I wish Ed all the very best and will follow his career

Curnow and Pederson could have been picked up in the previous draft to this years {as rookies}
Instead of the rookies that we did pick up and then move on...Johnson,JKT and Skipper

Just because a bloke plays for Boxhill doesn't guarantee he'll end up being drafted by Hawthorn.
All it ensures is that we have a better understanding of his abilities and attidue.

There seems to be this mistaken belief that we get better access to those players in the draft than other clubs.

Obviously Carlton thought he was better than Hawthorn, and a few other clubs, did.
Perhaps the Blues were more in need of his type of player than the Hawks.

Who knows but it happens every year.

Making a call that it was a mistake before he's even played one game is perhaps a tad early

Time will tell who made the right call but I wish him well because he gave his all when playing at Boxhill and became a favourite.

Yup, and Puopolo should be lining up for Adelaide, and Sewell for North Melbourne (since he was rookie listed from Nth Ballerat)

Pederson is like Markovic, a good VFL player.

True, however Curnow would have been a lot better on our list than a spud like Morton, Pelchen and co have made some horrendous decisions with regards to the bottom end of our list.

bad break too if i remember right , so happy he got himself right wish he was at the hawks too but he is not .

I was really impressed with Curnow tonight and he showed a heap in his first game for us. Scored over 100 in Supercoach as well. This is the first time i have seen him and i can see why some at Hawthorn had good raps on him as he is a real little hard nut who gives 110% at every contest and had good disposal tonight.

the kid played very well imo and its a shame but you just cant have everyone.
