They paid out $100 million to get out of the Ligue 1 contract. How can deals be terminated mid contract?

Called a "Termination for Convenience" Clause. Doubt the AFL allowed one, though. DAZN would have stiff penalties of they walkedHow can deals be terminated mid contract?
Kayo become severely overpriced for what it is, it's becoming just like normal Foxtel, if it keeps going up, I am just going to watch free online streams.
how is Channel 9 their competitor? They aren't broadcasting any AFL games, so they're not in the same marketWorth noting Eddie works for their competitor.
If DZAN are looking to sell their matches, 9/Stan would be the likely location.how is Channel 9 their competitor? They aren't broadcasting any AFL games, so they're not in the same market
As they are planning to further integrate gambling and media (google it) then the sooner they drop AFL the better. JGTFO.I thought it might have taken a couple of years at least for this to happen but not surprising if it does for anyone that followed the cluster **** that was the French football deal.
When DAZN has rights to bigger worldwide sports, AFL is just like dog shit on the bottom of their shoe.
Some rumours are suggesting large bids from elsewhere for the F1 rights in light of Oscar Piastri and his success. If they lose them, I'll be done with Kayo.Kayo become severely overpriced for what it is, it's becoming just like normal Foxtel, if it keeps going up, I am just going to watch free online streams.
Maybe, but DAZN could then just take the AFL in perpetual lawsuits, would be cheaper for them and really bad for the AFL. Plus I'm not sure how big the clauses can really be, the AFL would have to demonstrate lost income, and the AFL can sell the rights on to someone else to mitigate any losses.Called a "Termination for Convenience" Clause. dear god no.AFL should be its own streaming service, i know some of this is already hidden away in the afl website and club sites but how many people regularly visit them ?
- full access to all games live thru subscription
- ads for league / club sponsors given priority
- club members get access to all their games thru membership
- biased call teams i.e. press red for ed.
- clubs create their own content / shows
- replays available few days later to everyone
- country leagues given opportunity to create their own weekly round-up shows
WatchAFL is ridiculously priced $22 a week, $44 a month, or $250 a year.as an international viewer each week for the last 2 decades thru whatever pricks have had the rights. I just hope they dont stop the coverage and bury it for $$ reasons and legal ones.
FOX aint great BUT they have been reliable in terms of it working the last 3-4 years or so - at least overseas anyways.
