Interesting is DAZN just terminated there ligue 1 contract. Ligue 1 have now setup there own streaming platform. Dazn have now signed a deal to distribute it.

I thought it might have taken a couple of years at least for this to happen but not surprising if it does for anyone that followed the cluster **** that was the French football deal.

When DAZN has rights to bigger worldwide sports, AFL is just like dog shit on the bottom of their shoe.

Eddie has been on the war path for about 18 months trying to get onto the AFL Commission. God help us.

This might be true or it might just be Eddie furthering eddies interests.

Kayo become severely overpriced for what it is, it's becoming just like normal Foxtel, if it keeps going up, I am just going to watch free online streams.

Yep. And they're sneaky as all f*ck. I had returned on a comeback offer for reduced price for a few months. Then they raise the price to not much off what it would have been anyway.

As they are planning to further integrate gambling and media (google it) then the sooner they drop AFL the better. JGTFO.

Couldn't care less if they drop 360 and OTC
...just keep First Crack.

And do us a favor...drop half the 'talent'.
Here's a helpful starter list for ya Da Zone. (is that your first name???)

1. Kelli Underwood
2. Jordan Lewis
3. Jack Reiwolt
4. Jay Clarke
5. Gary Lyon.

360, On The Couch, Sunday arvo games and First Crack Sunday edition will all be a lot better for the cull.

Cheers.

Some rumours are suggesting large bids from elsewhere for the F1 rights in light of Oscar Piastri and his success. If they lose them, I'll be done with Kayo.

Called a "Termination for Convenience" Clause. Doubt the AFL allowed one, though. DAZN would have stiff penalties of they walked
Maybe, but DAZN could then just take the AFL in perpetual lawsuits, would be cheaper for them and really bad for the AFL. Plus I'm not sure how big the clauses can really be, the AFL would have to demonstrate lost income, and the AFL can sell the rights on to someone else to mitigate any losses.

AFL should be its own streaming service, i know some of this is already hidden away in the afl website and club sites but how many people regularly visit them ?
  • full access to all games live thru subscription
  • ads for league / club sponsors given priority
  • club members get access to all their games thru membership
    • biased call teams i.e. press red for ed.
    • clubs create their own content / shows
  • replays available few days later to everyone
  • country leagues given opportunity to create their own weekly round-up shows

as an international viewer each week for the last 2 decades thru whatever pricks have had the rights. I just hope they dont stop the coverage and bury it for $$ reasons and legal ones.

FOX aint great BUT they have been reliable in terms of it working the last 3-4 years or so - at least overseas anyways.

dear god no.

They cant run the league let alsone a network. Call the plumbers to fix the pipes. The AFL cant do a network. The broadcasting thru the radio streaming thru AFL.com was a shit show everyweek. Never let that return.

Sorry I aint waiting days for replays either. Not with what we pay for it but cost aside, the aFL cant doing anything tech related and please dont use the club websites thru Telstra as a working example.

And yes I have plenty of expereince in the tech failures - try getting up at 130 am for a game every week only to find the AFL cant turn on the stream, or it stops and fails and needs to be reset on their end - just no.

WatchAFL is ridiculously priced $22 a week, $44 a month, or $250 a year.
