Any Practice match results??

Airport west beat Craigieburn 2 goals,l saw the last half Airport west were impressive leading by 6 or 7 goals at 3/4 time.Martin and Mercuri both didn't play, Craigieburn had alot of players who played in their 2's premiership playing today,one of the Pekes bros being the only recruit l could see.Big blue in the last 1/4 with one Craigieburn player lucky not to be reported for kicking.

At halftime between Douttas and Hoppers crossing the scores were level in a pretty good standard game on a ground that had more sand than Stkilda beach.Interesting to see Liam Turner (Westy) playing for Douttas also Philpott running around for them as well.Douttas still not a tall team but from what l saw will be thereabouts again this year.

North Coburg beat Reservoir by a couple of goals.

thats a pretty good result for the boppers, as reservoir have played finals in the dvfl div 2 for the last couple of seasons, and were runners up 2 yrs ago

Now with something footy related, just went and watched Glenroy V Sunshine Heights. Glenroy were very average, prob won by 6 goals in the senior last 3 quarters. But they looked slow and although the ground didnt suit there play just looked sloppy. I think the loss of Shakers at full back will hurt them deeply as there doesnt seem to be a suitable replacment. If they are to challenge for finals they will need to lift a lot on that performance.

JC1981, please read back on this thread and see what some of these brain dead people having been posting, Marbyprincess,woodstock,hardnut,lambs off chaple etc deserve everythink they get in my opinion.....!

Just an opinion champ. I also watched the Glenroy game an your right in one area the ground didnt suit there style of play.

They have 7 new inclusions in the game yesterday and have another six to come in. I am under the impression it was there first serious hit out together and you will find my friend that chalkers will probably make a return mid year?

How did genroy look? They said they have picked up some good players, will they be able to match it with the likes of Marby, west coburg and Airport west, apparently they looked good yesterday. Its looks like craigieburn will be back in B grade in 2007.

They will improve I dont know if they will be able to go with Marby or West Coburg, theyr seems to be a lot of sprouting towards those clubs on this thread.

They will be in the mix, the comp looks very even this year I believe it will be on the day who turns up to play i think there will be many close ones during the year.

Craigieburn did lose to a Div 2 side.
I think they are the two that are expected to struggle anyway.

Hear that they are abs game breakers placing strathmore in an unbackable pos 4 the flag. I hear oneill is a big hitting power midfielder while jl is a creative ball magnet. Can anyone confirm or deny these rumors

2Cups, theres not doubt about strathmore being hot favs this year, but l also think teams like Greenvale, Keilor, Avondale will take it up to them, but nothing is certain now a days.....

Fair point, but remember in the past and before Callender went there they had won finals games and flags, if you ask me and alot of othere people out there he(Callender) is a born again tool and mind you he has coached me.
As a coach, he great preparation and tactics but no people skills whats so ever in my opinion 2Cups!
Keilor will be up there no doubt, they have picked up some good new players from the SANFL.
In regards to Avondale, their team was pretty much the same as when it won the flag in B grade in 2004, with the inclusion of Weston in 2006 etc.
They have also gained some players from Parkside and St Albans.
Strathmore may fall short at the end of the day...footy is a funny game!

In regards into GV lossing players, they have also had some good pick ups in Alio (Ex AFL, Port Melbourne), Garbutt has gone back, Chris Smith(KP) and might add Bicer may be back there too?
