I played under dale a couple of yrs ago very good coach also very good player. Monteleone(minty) can play if he shuts his mouth and gets on with footy has a habit of losing his temper and costing the team.

Ash Craig could be a freak, played midfield in calder cannons premiership years with the right midfield support and injury free could be up there with the best midfielders in a grade, Mills would be a handy key backmen and capable at a grade level, Whelan played at abers a few years back and spent most of the year in the 2s (and has red hair). Would be massive loss to the jacas to lose any of these.

Is is the same Dale Hough that played at coburg in the VFA back in the early 90's?....top bloke if it is, didnt think he was still playing footy...

What a joke. Don't know how you could rate him as a top coach... he coached Coburg Districts for 4 or 5 years in a 13-14 team comp with a final 8 and made the finals once!!! Well past his best as a player as well. Must admit though, that by all reports he is a good bloke.

Trust me mate he is a great coach you can only coach what youve got and besides a couple of good players , one who left this year he didnt have much he had the right ideas just not the personell to carry it out!

Like i said mate he had the right ideas n good game plans players weren't good enough to carry them out hence the reason they didnt make finals. I dont believe East Keilor will bounce back 4 that same reasons they dont have the players to carry out a game plan that would see them bounce back

Any ideas who the signings are??? happy for them to prove me wrong just tryin to make the point you can be a great coach with a good game plan but if you dont have a team with the ability to carry it out then ya stuffed fair enough???

heard a rumour duane whelan and nathan mills (jacana) may be offered contracts at oakers next year.

rumour has it there looking to play together at another club, havent spoken to them personally, just know some oak park players have spoken to them and said they would like them to come down.
as for official offers, dont think they have got that far yet.
the 3 wouldnt dominate a grade, but sure most clubs in a grade would be happy to have them at there club

I suspect the lure of playing B-Grade would be too much for most. Probably on a waiting list to sign.

heard from a source at oakers that whelan may have one out of the two. could see them going to oakers as there are ex jacana boys there already such as smedley, turner, dana, etc. or st albans could be the go with craig and frasier in the wrfl.

It certainly would be a massive loss for the jaca's, and the young fellas will be disappointed, but it gives them (young fellas) more of a chance to step up and make a name for themselves when the club heads into success.. and that's where these boys are heading.
