0 to do with he's son, wholl play cannons, won't stick to mick, keilor will be the ones that'll cop itNot great for Micks son either this year whos likely to be drafted...
Wangaratta from memory were 25k over and they got a big fine, couldn't win their first 3 games and got their premiership stripped. The keilor sanctions will be way worseI think for memory Abers got caught a few years back I think they got a hefty fine and put on a bond
Who's gone quiet, you might have to get in the car and start following Taylor's LakesHis gone quiet now the dweeb
Not defending Keilor here as they deserve whatever may be coming their way, but how many of the clubs in 1st division (2nd to while we're at it) do people think actually stick to the cap?
Genuine query. My guess would be not very many.
This is why the salary cap system is a mockery. The majority of clubs would do it and the ones that don’t probably don’t raise the funds but would do it if they could. The system adds time and effort to the volunteers and is hard to audit. Time to invest more effort into the points system and actually make it do what it was supposed to do which is be mechanism to even the comps. Last years premiership were Heidelberg Balwyn keilor etc which was the same as when the salary cap and points come in. It is a joke. If clubs want to pay players more then so be it as long as they can fund it.
This is the reason why it's done, many clubs cant raise this money and really why should they? Its community sport, metro clubs should be able to field their side with 16 locals and top up with a few recruits. This is why the salary cap system is a mockery. Not sure the system does work, BM, but yes it's a good thing for local footy. You need both
How anybody can say a big club being caught shows that it doesn’t work is beyond me
It shows it does work
Of course they can’t audit every club in the state
But clubs buy players to win flags
If it just means the flag could get stripped, they will think twice
The president and treasurer of every club will take notice, your name would be mud.
This is a good thing for footy, end of story.
Finally a sensible postThis is the reason why it's done, many clubs cant raise this money and really why should they? Its community sport, metro clubs should be able to field their side with 16 locals and top up with a few recruits.
It allows more clubs to compete for flags by playing by the rules and stops ridiculous spending on players that'll turn many clubs like east keilor bankrupt by trying to keep up with Joneses.
It'll be a warning for all other clubs. Obviously the Wangaratta story didn't travel to the city

If you believe the posts in this forum, it was 2024 Keilor players who provided the evidence not an investigation or audit conducted or initiated by AFLV or EDFL.
The system currently relies on disgruntled people within a club coming forward not a systematic process from above.
Tom Mcguane plays for Western Jets and yes it will have an impact on the family.0 to do with he's son, wholl play cannons, won't stick to mick, keilor will be the ones that'll cop it
Win again this year mate with all this false info all laughingstock, just shows how much keilor live in everyone’s headMight want to change your name to 0 peat mate

Harsh to say that’s curtains on future involvements, can’t assume he was doing the contracts can we? He was just coaching the list provided by the club? Or have I missed something?Bound to be huge news on main stream media due to the well known McGuane name and reputation!
It’ll be curtains for his future involvement ANYWHERE I suspect?
Clerical errorWin again this year mate with all this false info all laughingstock, just shows how much keilor live in everyone’s head
