Rumour around the water cooler this morning is that a successful player with 2 clubs in the Wrfl and Edfl is going through a nasty separation and his ex has shone the light on illegal player payments from 2 premier Edfl clubs. More sleepless nights for the Edfl exec

Why would the EDFl exec be concerned? How was the light shone? Was it a battery light or a generated powered one? And where was the light shone? Court of law?

According to PlayHQ has played 108 games for Keilor starting in Under 10's.
Was a member of 2016 Premier Grand Final as a 16 year old

Good story but highly unlikely it would be proven. CSA wouldn’t look into this nor would the tax office either. Very very hard to establish guilt.

When I left half way through the last quarter the Giants were winning by 3 goals. Giants are a new team in the RDFL.

If giants are beating East Keilor then EK probably won’t score at all this season in premier. Not one score imo..
Maybe only a practice match but that’s embarrassing to a point they have dug themselves a huge hole. Yes we can all blame the previous president/coach but decisions were made for 2025 that were also very poor.. The CLUB must be held accountable NOT individuals..

Heard their 60 year old twos coach had to pull on the boots again yesterday for the twos? Anyone know the results of the 2s?

HS suggested the Giants will be lucky to win one game in RDFL this year which doesn’t sound good for EK.

Think the 2s will be fine round 1 as thier 18s have a bye, but after that who knows.

Maybe only a practice match but that’s embarrassing to a point they have dug themselves a huge hole. Yes we can all blame the previous president/coach but decisions were made for 2025 that were also very poor.. The CLUB must be held accountable NOT individuals..

What were the poor decisions for 2025 Turbo? (besides allowing Pat too much influence in the past) The prior coach / president has basically deliberately and vindictively ruined 2025 via paying sign ons for current players to leave. This created a domino effect given most players at all clubs are fickle these days

no "besides' about it. EK people more than happy for Pat to pay mercenaries(EK cheat) to get them too & make them competitive in A Grade. Can't turn around now and blame it all on Pat!!! Let a Fox in the Hen house and what exactly did you think the out-come would be?

Im sure they knew the departed coach would take a few so they probably needed to appoint a coach who has a long contact list and can recruit decent level players. Did they do due diligence??

They knew the sign ons were paid in previous years so could they match em?? How do they lose EK boys like Dion Hill? He wasn’t one of Pat’s recruits.. Anyway they are in trouble..

The current committee probably didn't know the amount of unpaid bills they would inherit (in the thousands) nor the amount of agreements the previous administration made to strip the club of playing assets. The club is working hard to restore local connections but it may take years to fix.

Yep and that’s how they recruited a lot of players over recent years by offering amounts the current clubs couldn’t or wouldn’t match. So it comes back to bite them.

Seriously mate you can’t tell me some of these people didn’t know what was going on over recent years and did these people celebrate them going into premier and becoming a competitive side? I recall them recruiting a few of the better Hillside players (1 pointers at HS) so did these people you mention say “hey hold on that’s a lot of $$$” or did they do nothing and let it all play out…My point is, it would appear the previous coach/president wasn’t alone in his thinking.

Oh and my opinion is they should have kept Bongetti and let him take over as coach.

Yeah , but if they kept Bongo , Pat would've taken off with his money and the joint would've been in the position then that they are in now
