Been in premier for one year nuffy so apart from the cheats won the same amount of flags as the other 8 teams ..I’m tipping will win won before at least 5 of those eight
Seriously, do you mouthbreathers share a brain or something? You definitely make comprehension seem difficult.
In the battle of the salary cap cheats, your mob assumed the position.. again.
I'm sure you'll be hitting the Windex hard tonight. Enjoy.

Calm down everyone. Bad day at the office. Ball didn't bounce our way today. The lads were off big time but credit to Mick's Mob they were relentless and will hand out a few beltings to a few clubs again this season. A few lads were short of a gallop and a few outs including Chatfield late which didn't help. But the margin given the ins from last season was a surprise for the lions faithful. Round 1 though, dark day but the sun will rise and so will the Parker's!

Ball didn't bounce your way? 150 point thumping. Good teams don't let anyone kick 10 i a quarter, I reckon a few guys need to have a good hard look in the mirror after taking today's tab voucher

Something to think about gents & ladies. If you look at the scorelines for matches today in both seniors and reserves we are seeing an acceleration in the spiral to death of local footy for sure. If the wrfl and edfl don't merge at years end and form one league with 2 divisions and force club mergers either by mutual agreement or by force then most clubs will not last independently in both seniors and reserves 5 years from today.

Completely incorrect statement IMO. I think the EDFL/WRFL merger will and probably should happen in the next 5 years. However, to say you need to force club mergers is a joke tbh. If your club has a strategy to only focus on paying for top end talent then that’s your clubs fault. How about recruit some depth players? Players that will be happy to play ressies, then have a crack when their chance comes. How about your club double down their efforts to build a solid junior program? Players that will mature and play on 1 point in years to come. Fact of the matter is your club only cares about 1 group and that’s why you struggle below seniors. Proposing to force mergers on the >90% of clubs that are going quite fine is as stupid as your ridiculous / sexist recent statement about women’s football. You lot are so far away from winning a flag in a decent comp it’s not funny!!

Make no mistake Deer Park will cause some real upsets this year and Keilor are clearly a super fit unit who play with abundant confidence. Suggest everyone just relax and pencil in the next time Deer Park play Keilor as a must watch. There is absolutely no way Deer Park will play that poorly again.

Well said sticky wicket.
Football clubs are more than just about winning premierships there about a place for the community to come together.

I could go one but have a look at Bud Tingwells speech in the castle you will get the vibe.

Why isn't there just 1 metro comp? It's not like anywhere near the travel of country footy, like what is it 30 minutes from keilor to Heidelberg on a Saturday. Balwyn to altonas not that far

Yes I totally agree but the hubris of individuals stuffs up the entire show.

Any scores for Marby/Abers night game?
(EDFL appears to have shut shop after reserves)

I heard McKenzie played well. Thoughts?

Who cares, they lost by 100 points and they spend more money on the cap than keilor do

Disgraceful

Coming from a bloke who rode a bike to Perth 🤣 There was a metro comp many years ago called the VFA.

Most local competitions look like they have 3-4 stand out teams and the rest making up numbers. Let’s remember that Keilor did similar thing to
Pascoe Vale last year and then lost to them in 2nd Semi. So it will even out a bit once we get into winter and injuries etc.

But Keilor have bunkered down to show how tight and committed they are as a footy club which will no doubt take a very good footy side to take their mantle.

It was interesting how the Deer Park coach mentioned how unfit they were at 3/4 time. A few blokes have clearly taken it easy over summer and it showed. There were a lot of one way runners in their team. Keilor ran it from half back with ease. No.22 spent a lot of energy mouthing off to the Keilor bench and followed up with plenty of short steps. I hope for Deer Parks sake they stay injury free as there is nothing in the reserves. Bol, McKenzie and a couple of others looked sore in the last quarter and even their trainer commented how many were cramping. Went expecting a closer game but Keilor were three levels above.
