EDFL Premier Discussion 2026

Just to add a bit to this I’m hearing Jed will have to introduce himself to all his new teammates as no one has seen him at the club.
Was at HS for the first half
Good quality half of football
Wayward kicking by PV (most under pressure) HS up by 1pt at the break.
HS may not be the walkover that every one predicted.
The final score showed the class of PV, looks like the 7-0 3rd qtr was the difference

O'Kearney was injured in the first 5 minutes of the game and didn't come back on. Stretchers were brought on but he walked off with a little help. Suspect a concussion or neck injury the way he was being braced on the ground

Very, very good matchup otherwise. Keilor pissed away almost all of their chances in the third when the wind picked up and they had the run of the play. Strathmore kicked 2 or 3 to end the 3rd, then 2 quick ones to start the last and Keilor dropped their heads from there, Mores completely on top from that point. Keilor didn't score in the 4th until well into time on

I see both participants in the “Turbo Cup” were maxed out points wise in yesterday’s match. Hillside 48/48 and Pascoe Vale 46/46. Seems like this has been a common theme most weeks with Pacco, presumably to the detriment of their home grown players, ever since the points system was introduced.

Maybe this could be the season, after 15 years of trying to buy a flag, that Pascoe Vale finally land the big one? They’ve certainly loaded up once again with plenty of high point, high priced imports.

Strong list, but I don’t think Pacco have a strong enough culture to be A Grade premiers.

Credit to Hillside for being competitive until half time ....
No matter the recruits PV should have and did account for the newly promoted Sharks ....

Goldstein and Anderson are great 6 pointers for our comp ....

PV should be judged once playing the likes of Deer Park Airport West Marby Park and Doutta Stars .... Big 3 will continue to be the big 3 IMO ...

Reserves scores all 100 pt floggings Deer Park reserves will be in this plus some and then some more ....

No one cares about reserves as it’s horrible standard of footy in every league these days

Its weird you say that as the reserves do the same training as the senior team (if they train) .... It shows 2 things ....
Which clubs are the strongest
Which clubs have a great culture
Exactly. Some AFL clubs are paying the price for neglecting their reserves. Bombers and blues. Compare them to bulldogs and cats. Lol turbo, wrong again

Some very unhappy 2s players at Pacco. Expect some players leaving.
Some talented players and reputations in
Pacco 2’s yesterday, was very surprised with 3 in particular. Div.1/RDFL clubs should and probably already are right into these players. Pacco’s challenge recruiting so many points in will be keeping them all there. Few big names were less than impressive against a very limited Premier opposition. Will be interesting watch to see which way it goes
