We were shocking on Anzac day. How are we suddenly suspicious? We lost and should have been blown out of the water.

Don't fall for footy's old sacks on the mill trick
Mark Robinson
COKE. Speed. Dopers. Peptides. HGH. Injections. Drips. Gangsters. Bikies. Strippers ... it sounds like a Quentin Tarantino flick.
He should've known, they say. Known what exactly?
The biggest leap of insanity is calls to immediately sack Essendon coach James Hird. No, it's the AFL pre-season. And as Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley said yesterday, the reputations of many have been tarnished.
That a sports science guy who was brought to the club by respected high-performance manager Dean Robinson might've given his players performance enhancing drugs. Important word "might've".
If players received banned drugs without their knowledge, which is utterly reprehensible, then Hird, his assistant Mark Thompson, chief executive Ian Robson, chairman David Evans, the doorman and the chewy supplier will lose their jobs and deservedly so.
Essendon would've learned you can't trust anyone, which is a life lesson, always learned in hindsight.
If not, what is the major issue here?
The campaigners to oust him want a scalp. That's the sport we're in. Find someone to blame and hunt him down like a dog. It's unedifying.
Mind you, Hird and Essendon will forever be tarnished no matter what happens. They were asked last week if mud stuck and a week later the mud is cascading.
It's unfair because Hird has been found guilt of ... what exactly? Checks and balances? Please, if that's the sole assertion then half the people working at footy clubs would be out of a job.
"The majority of people who are involved in footy are of good character," Buckley said. "But when you are as big as we are, there are going to be people who take short cuts."
Indeed, the rest of the players and clubs in the competition have been screwed, too.
The darkest day in Australian sport in reference to the AFL is overcast. One club, Essendon, might've taken performance enhancing drugs and one player, 'The Rogue Doper', might've taken PEDs.
It is alarming if true, but again, important word "might've".
In the meantime, every player and club is scrutinised.
There are examples like Geelong, who are infuriated their premierships have been questioned. But that's what doping inquiries prompt as dinner-time discussion. You feel for the Cats because they don't deserve it.
The hunt for the Rogue Doper is problematic.
While the accusation hangs without conviction, all players remain targets.
Twitter users have named about 20 players, which is grossly unfair.
At one club, Twitter rumours and incessant media inquiries, have driven officials to despair. The clubs say the said player won't be arrested. It probably won't matter if he is or isn't, his reputation is sullied.
I suppose they should sack him, anyway.

Piss off Robbo, you twat.Bit of sense from Robbo today, taking on Caro and Smith.

My understanding is that while coaches and support staff are both subject to the WADA / ASADA code, there are different substances banned for athletes vs coaches / support staff, so something banned for athletes isn't necessarily banned for coaches / support staff. In today's Advertiser Rucci was saying how it is against the AFL code to have coaches or officials use substances banned under WADA (can't find a link to the article yet). Dank says in his interview a couple of ours did.
Agree, but it's better him writing that than joining in the Caro/Smith blood lust.Piss off Robbo, you twat.
I like how he's tried to distance himself from all of the media's bullshit over the past week.
Haha, give me a break.
Doubt we have any claims for legal action. We made it known to the public off our own back. The reporters just speculated and used innuendo and insinuations. They didnt actually defame us. We game them an inch and they took it a mile.I just really hope that if the club is totally cleared they follow dank action and take some legal action against media reporters/outlets.
From memory, deformation doesn't apply to large businesses, only people.
But hopefully they take at least some legal action against the absolute factless trash that's been written. Basically to make "journalists" (using term lightly), think twice about publishing stories without some element of fact.
When asked by a reporter today that Dank said Hird knew about what the players were taking and all that shit, Hird's reply was nothing and he just walked inside the building.
He couldn't have done anything else really.
Just saw on Twitter that the Bombers were announcing the side for Friday nights matches, maybe that's the 'announcement'?So is there any truth to this press conference or just wait and see I suppose?
