Maybe a little to cryptic.

Clue 1: What are you doing when you go out for a romantic evening with someone? You are on a ????

Clue 2: What happened to the ugly duckling?

Clue 3: MCMLXXXIV, MCMLXXXV

If I have my Roman Numerals correct, that's 1984-1985.

The ugly duckling turned into a Swan.
I'm buggered if I know about the other clues.

Merv Neagle?

Nope.

Sorry, I don't think in the simple answer terms. The more the answer stares me in the face the less likely I am to see it.

I'm not referring to the ease of the question, rather the players first name.

200 is a number related to this players career.

Work is for chumps, unfortunately that means me.

OK I'll consilidate. I was trying to make it left field and I've just made it too hard. Sorry

1. I share a date with Pol Pot

2. I come from the same town as a player that moved to the Swans. Incidently I came from this town (the real me).

3. 200 is a number that reflects an aspect of my football career, not the number of games played.

I found all the info for this question on Wikipedia.
